<DIV>Yeah, this is basically a post of me whining. Sorry.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm feigned on the ground right now as I type this message.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm level 38. Wood Elven Monk. Decent gear. Not the best, but not the worst either. I have 122 Agi unbuffed.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I just got trounced by a level 32 grey grove badger to try to finish this stupid Drodo's Goodies quest.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is *insane*. I know that any other tank that *wasn't* a brawler would have wiped the floor with that thing. He hit me three times for 300+, and once for 432.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>*grumble grumble* :smileymad:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Rant off.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Ilina</DIV>

<DIV>you have to armor grind and gear grind just like the rest of us in the fighter tree llina... your AC should be at least 4700+... agility and strength should both be leveling off at 100+ as well...depending on which route you went personally im balanced.</DIV>
<DIV>I have 4959 AC, Sage. :smileyindifferent:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I didn't go balanced. At the time I was picking traits, I went with all agility, because, well, it seemed like a good idea at the time. I don't much care about my strength, though I'm trying to focus on that more now, as my agility is high enough. I'm also a wood elf.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lack of strength wasn't what made me lose. Grey mobs shouldn't hit you. Ever. After the agi nerf, I was getting hit by grey *solo* mobs when I was trying to finish quests in TS.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Ilina</DIV>

<DIV>mAN == that badger needs his behind whipped ----- just bad luck probably on those random rolls...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>(not too cause an uproar - but i have noticed at certain skill levels = i get hit more often than other levels = </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>such as if i have 185 skill in deflection i get hit more often than when i had 184 skill in deflection, its crazy sounding - but im serious.. it is dealing with numbers internally = so more than likely i would ASSUME that certain numbers match up differently when the roll and skill checks come into play...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>who knows other than the person who coded it?</DIV>
<DIV>Meh.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I shouldn't have posted anyways, but I had to whine to *someone*, so I guess the Monk board was unlucky as that bad roll I got. :smileysad:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If it was that. I'm not completley convinced, I'll try to kill it again in a few minutes. What burns me so bad about this is as I said, I *know* that any of the plate boys would have destroyed the badger with no problem. Oh well.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Ilina</DIV>

I'm at 5600 ac at 39. It tends to suit me pretty well when solo'ing or otherwise. Though when a hit does get through it hurts <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

5600 you mean with hero's armor and you have one of each priest class in your group?

Uh no, solo.. And why does that surprise you so much? My paperdoll profile on eq2 players reflects the 5200 at least; but not the 5600. I'm not sure about the refresh on the profiles. But anyhow, I can at least show the 5200.And it is with the emerald hide gear on as you can see. I have since upgraded to OrcLord armor which gave me a boost in AC.http://eq2players.station.sony.com/en/pplayer.vm?characterId=194357109<p>Message Edited by Khudson on <span class=date_text>03-15-2005</span> <span class=time_text>02:33 PM</span>
<DIV>It surprised him for the same reason it surprised me.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>That's a *lot* of AC for someone without a shield.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Ilina</DIV>

Sometimes I think I may spend too much time doing calculations and all that mumbo jumbo when determining equipment. But at least the final result makes me happy after putting forth that effort.
