Hail and well met. I'm a new monk and wanted to introduce myself. I've played several classes up to level 20 to see which one I enjoyed the most and I've found myself really enjoying my monk.I'm a former EQ 1 player. There I played a rogue into the mid 50's, which I really enjoyed. I tried swashbuckler here in EQ2 and it is just not the same. To me, the swashies have no clear cut role. It seems they can't decide if they should be the backstabbin DPS, the evac specialist, the tank? (why else would you have taunt ability), the mezzer (why in all of norrath!) or the trap/lock pick specialist. (I have yet to successfully open a chest without it going off). It seems that they are a jack-of-all trades and can't do any of them well enough to be useful. On the other hand, I've really enjoyed my monk. I can solo if I want, I can get a group if I want with very little problems getting a group, my role is clear cut and I've always enjoyed watching them fight. I don't have to be the main tank, which I tend to like less, but will do it and usually have fun doing it anyway.I look forward to meeting my fellow monks and I hope to contribute to the forums in a positive manner.- Stray Kat (my nickname, which my friends usually just call me Kat)

<DIV>I am also a monk kinda new to the boards here. Played one in EQ1, and while i have gotten sick of how [Removed for Content] he is, i'm glad I made him.  Still getting used to not being [Removed for Content] in EQ2 lol.  Not used to not being one rounded by mobs.:smileysurprised:</DIV>
