Has anyone else noticed that when soloing and attacking mobs from the front this attack gets blocked/parried/ripo'd at least 75% of the time on the first or second hit? Once one of the hits gets stopped the rest are automatically stopped as the spell states. This is one of our strongest attacks and it kind of sucks that it gets stopped so frequently.I say this because most of my other attacks make it through a much higher percentage of the time and I think they have this set up to get stopped much easier. I dunno maybe I'm wrong, anyone else notice this?Ashac43 MonkMistmoore

<DIV>I noticed this too and although it sounds like a really nice art, its not nearly as good due to the number of missed swings.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I use it cos you hope to hit them all but my experiences sound similar to yours.  Naturally it depends on the level of mob you are fighting in relation to your own and in general you only hit all swings on a consistant basis on greens.</DIV>

<DIV>At 50 with lunging mongoose adept 1 I get all of them to land most of the time.  So it may be a case of needing to "master" the skill of the art so to say.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm pretty sure that when I had those skills they started to land more efficiently as my max skill began to equal that of the max skill of the spell.  It probably also has something to do with mob con.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Gage-Mikel on <span class=date_text>02-27-2005</span> <span class=time_text>10:29 AM</span>

<DIV>I usually stun or stifle before using one of these attacks. Not sure if it works but it makes me feel better... <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

When soloing non agro mobs I start behind the mob and use stun, then freeze, then rapid swings. Almost always get all 4 hits from behind. Most of the time the fight is over before the timer is up.

<DIV>I try to either use one of 3 attacks before Darting Sparrow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>1.  Use Rushing Bear then run behind to let D.S. get him from behind. (Best results for me)</DIV> <DIV>2.  Winter's Talon to freeze him and basically the same thing if you're fast enough.</DIV> <DIV>3.  Pouncing Tiger to decrease his AGI somewhat then try Darting Sparrow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Another good one is to start a HO, then use Pouncing Tiger to initiate it and finish with a taunt then try to stun and get behind him to use Darting Sparrow before the AGI debuff wears off.  Should have about 4-6 seconds to do all this.</DIV>

<DIV>The Rapid Swings/Darting Sparrow skills are very random.  However, the power cost is very low and I use them whenever they come up.  I find that I like to use a stun ability beforehand.  It "seems" like I land more hits more often. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Strange thing is that back when I got Darting Sparrow (upgraded to App4), it seemed to miss much more often than Rapid Swings (Adept I).  </DIV>

<DIV> <P><SPAN>There is a bug (IMO) I forget the mobs but I was tanking and I tried to use Darting Sparrow and it said, "target to powerful" so I tried Rapid Swings and it hit. I have DS at Adept 1 and RS at Adept 3 so maybe that was it but it has happened to me a couple of times. Sorry I have no strong proof to substantiate the alleged bug, but it was something that I noticed. </SPAN></P></DIV>

I read somewhere that the reason you cannot use some of the higher skills on raid mob is because they have a % chance of stunning the mob. They don't want 24 people chain stun a raid mob making it too easy to kill.

<DIV>I duoed that "new" instanced zone in Nek Forest last night.  I tried out the Rushing Bear > run behind > Darting Sparrow.  Worked like a charm almost every time.  I used that technique with my lowly Scout months ago.  I remember the monk stun moves almost never seemed to work... seems like they do now.</DIV>
