<i>GreetingsI plan on playing on a Roleplaying server ( and I will roleplay it accordingly! ) And We're still unsure of what to do as a TRIO group. We're not looking for hardcore class-to-role assigments but it helps.Beserker, the name itself sounds like a warrior in lighter plate with a huge 2h smashing/slashing/hacking away at a mob, which is the idea I am going for. (The class has to be Good/neutral), going inrage, etc. Is this what a beserker would be in a trio, can it be heavy dps? Or is it a tank just like its counterpart, only a bit more damage? Please help~!</i><div></div>

<P>Succumb to the mental image of a plate wearing, priest shield bearing, low health tank that often takes more damge than he dishes out, this is SoEs brilliant idea of the chaotic archetype many of us have known as bear-serker. Good luck to you.</P>

Go bruiser then. They dish out good and they can use the flappy staff (the highest 2h dps tradable afaik). <div></div>

Absolutely not.  We hate zerkers.  Even though they started as the worst class, they still get nerfed constantly.  They are simply no fun at all <img src="/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<P>Absolutely Terrible....turn back now.</P> <P>That way I won't have to fight with you over my Masters... :smileyvery-happy:</P> <P> </P> <P>As an aside, my group is a consistant trio of Dirge, Zerk and Mystic.  We Haven't found anything we couldnt handle, including several situations where I know a typical group of 6 would have wiped.  The key is, we take care of each other, keep all armor and spells upgraded as far as possible and dont let any idiots run with us..lol</P>

<DIV>I play a lvl 70 Zerker on AB and love it!  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If you have visions of wading into a room full of mobs, pulling them all, and then standing around panting and grinning at the end then Zerker is a wonderful class.  Note that this will get you killed in EoF zones, but elsewhere it works like a charm if you have a good healer at your side.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I usually MT in Offensive Stance, switching to defensive when needed for tough mobs, and the damage is exceptional (almost tier 1).  When I am in an OT/dps role in raids my damage is usually just behind tier 1 and higher than any other fighter class in the raid.  The trick when raiding is to be mindful of aggro as we have no aggro transfers/dumps like some of the tier 1 damage classes.  We are the heavy plate fighter class that trades enhanced damage for the slight defensive edge of our Guardian cousins.  In dungeons I don't find that this tradeoff is a bad one.  If you are going to raid a lot, and desire to be MT on the boss mobs, then Guardian would probably be a better choice.  I played Guardian for 50 levels and the main difference is that Guardian is very controlled, excelling at tough single mob encounters.  Zerker is more frenetic and excels in group mob encounters.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>You can wade into the room with the 2 hander, but will probably be better served getting used to the idea of a "Gladiator" Zerker with a buckler and 1 hander.  The Stamina AA line is provides nice balance between reasonable defense and great offense.  I am currently Str 4-4-8 Sta 4-4-8, Wis 4-4-8 for AA's.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>If I were designing a TRIO group, I would choose Zerker, Swashy, and Inquisitor...a deadly and synergistic combination.  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Good luck with your choice.</DIV><p>Message Edited by Covenant on <span class=date_text>12-26-2006</span> <span class=time_text>08:40 AM</span>

<P>Ok so no idea what the above posters are playing for a class but I can tell you that in a scenario where you have three players and you want to do the absolute maximum amount of content possible for those three people the Berserker is going to be, in my opinion, your best option.</P> <P> </P> <P>If you had access to the absolute best raid gear in the game I would say go bruiser but since I sense you will be forced to resort to some nice legendary stuff from camps and perhaps mastercrafted stuff your potential as a trio will be greater with a Berserker. AA spec'd appropriately and with the right support classes a Zerker is a monster of a group tank. Good luck with your zerker and have fun!</P>
