<div>ME and my friend just subscribed to EQ2 from World of Warcraft. I plan to play with him a lot so I'm trying to figure out a good combo. One of us will probably be berserker, so what should the other be? Also, if you know of any other really good duos, (berserker or not) let us know please.</div>
<div></div><p>Personally, I think a Fury really works well with a Zerker. Great offensive buffs, and at 34 Fury gets Starburst, a very nice AoE. I duo with my SOs Fury, and we can do quite a bit as a duo. A high DPS class might work if you can kill things quickly enough, but I really like the heals. Let's you take on those Heroic mobs that I think otherwise would be off limits.</p><p> </p><p>Another good duo we have fun with is Conjurer/Warlock. Conjurer pets do quite well these days tanking.</p>

<div></div>I've found that Mystics (one that knows how to play the class right) make very good duo partners.

<div>For XPing, Fury and Berserker are by far the best duo. For Duoing more difficult, named mobs, i would say templar Berserker.</div>

<div></div><div>I've duo'd with my wife templar since a pup. Shes got no dps, but her defensive buffs and endless heals makes few things out of reach. However, fights can be long and dungeon crawling with heroics just painful. I also fight with a conjuror, and groups fall like flies with our AoE's. With no healer, let the conjuror's pet tank.</div>

I've duoed with my homeboy who has a mystic since day 1 and there isn't much we can't do together. Hell we can even take down some x2's with a 3rd good dps class thrown in.<div></div>

<div>I would say Fury/Zerker if you guys want good DPS, good Offencive buffs. med. mobs fast</div><div> </div><div>Templar/Zerker if you want good defence buffs and reactive heals (you get hit you get healed) low DPS though.</div><div> </div><div>Mystic/Zerker if you wanna debuff the mob, able to mez mutiple targets (bad for our AOEs)</div><div> </div><div> </div><div>Ive herd great stuff about Mystics being able to debuff the mob and makes it easyer to kill, Mystic/Illusionist are good together they both debuff the hell out of mobs and can both mezz them, but bad with a zerker. Zerkers are more AOE style.</div><div> </div><div>really you cant go wrong with any class, just look thew the spell list for both classes (EQ2 main page look under class tab at the top) and pick what you would like to play, your "Playstyle" what you want to do kinda thing. maybe even a monk or Bruser?</div><div> </div><div>you may not even need to pick a tank class, Necro's, Conj both have pets and the Conj has Uber DPS right now. and use the pets as the tanks............. Illusionist also has a pet and has LOTS AND LOTS of stunns and mezz. and a Corc can Charm a mob to fight for you inplace of a pet. I know alot of peole who dont even need tanks in a duo group.</div><div> </div><div> </div><div> you will have the most fun if you pick what you want to play. there are always people lookin for a group if you need to Trio.</div>

<div></div><p>i will agree with their suggestions, imo, if you or your friend doesnt mind a healer class, i would say that a fury or warden is best duo. next, i would say defiler and zerker...wards work pretty good with plate classes.</p><p>if a healer isnt a option look into a scout class or warlock or wizard.</p><p>another odd combo that myself and my wife have used with amazing success from lvl 1 to lvl 50 is monk and zerker. depending on the type of mob, she would ussually tank, we would fight green and blue heroics, or yellow solo's. two off-tank/dps's are a pretty good combo, and our spells complimented eachother. the avoidance buffs we can give are also amazing with a monk or bruiser.</p>

<div></div><div></div><p>I do like wards but i disagree with warding is the best healing for a plate tank, if you ward then our mitigation isnt doing anything, Wards work better for monks that may get hit or may not get hit. We are able to take a hit as a plate tank so warding is kinda a waist of the healers power cuz our mitigation can take a hit. Dont get me wrong, i do like wards, but I think direct healing is better for Plate and ward is better for Monks.</p><p> </p><p>EDIT~~~> We also do better DPS when we are getting hit.</p><p>Message Edited by FlameingInferno on <span class="date_text">02-18-2006</span><span class="time_text">11:00 AM</span></p>

<div></div><div></div><p>eh? they changed it again???? after LU13 wards took mitigation into account and every monk and bruiser was upset because of wards timers and over all hit points got nerfed. to my knowlege wards still took mitigation into account and back when i was grouping more often the wards were pretty nice and i enjoyed my time spent with a defiler friend.</p><p> </p><p>but, if things are as you say and mitigation is no longer a factor with wards, then by all means, fury! i wouldnt go with a temp just because of the lack of dps...you may have a really safe group and heals for the long haul, but for normal xping things will drop faster with a fury or warden.</p><p>p.s. because they have spot heals and wards, paladins and monks do make a pretty good combo with a zerker, i have used this duo with alot of success. paladins have some nice buffs, heals, wards, even though they dont have as good of dps, and monks have a pretty good "emergency" heal, work great as the main tank and the zerker as dps for blue and green heroics and yellow to orange solo's, or yellow non heroic groups(great xp).</p><p> </p><p>EDIT-true, we do more dps when getting hit. when i duo'd with the defiler he would cast one ward when i pulled and it would soak up damage while i established aggro, the ward would wear of and we would both go to town on dps, he would heal as needed and if things got grim cast another ward. dunno...just my experience.</p><p>Message Edited by RaunII on <span class="date_text">02-18-2006</span><span class="time_text">01:58 PM</span></p>

Duo with a warden friend alot and we never have a problem. Furys are good to as they can dish out more damage than wardens when needed, although with enough INT the warden dmg attacks aint all that bad..<div></div>
you can duo with most anythingfor a time me(berserker) and my gf(coercer) duo'd ^^^'s to get some exp a while back, we just killed the mobs faster than it could kill me. They were white con at the time so it wasn't a cakewalk heh. Right now, we duo on our twinks a necro and a conjuror. We actually find this way more fun than our previous duo, and better than some boring , figher+healer combo. i'd just recommend, No fighter + fighter, scout + scout, scout+caster, healer+healer, healer+scout, healer+caster.2fighter don't stack so well, it get the job done, but it'll be one of the slowest combinations 2 scouts, aren't really so great, both cannot tank and would have to do wierd running rooted dps tactics forever a scout and caster is the same deal, if it were a pet class and scout , that would be trouble too, scout would probably pull aggro from pet, and either a caster or scout can't tank so they'd do wierd ranged attacks to surviveand healer combined with a non fighter is a waste imo, and of course another healer is even worse ha.<div></div>

<div></div><p>I rarely post but gonna add my 2c here...</p><p>I duo an alt (41 zerker) with my girlfriend (41 inqui) and found that its a marvelous duo!</p><p>we take on con yellow Heroic quiet easily and more worried about our power after fight than the actuel fight! (for named id say con white) </p><p>question of damage its quiet good to, 2 of my 3 aoe are masters and all hers 6 debuffs are too! (we can easily take on blue heroic and only auto-attack and trow a heal or a stun from time to time.</p><p>so i wont say its the BEST partner for a zerker but a really great way to have tank-healer duo without sleeping over an heroic!</p><p>And its so nice to see our 2 plated dark elf duoting every hq and named we want without having to find a dps.</p><p>So,after druids id say go inqui (better debuff and dd without to much loss of defense over templar) <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

I have a 50 Zerker and my friend is a 52 Necro. We pwn any heroic mobs we come across. Let me tell you a little story. When we were both level 34, we duo'ed yellow con heroics. We killed Briarpaw in EL who was a 36 named heroic. When we were about 45,we killed 47-48 heroics in SS and once we leveled up a bit more, 49 named heroics and 50 heroic giants. Now, we duo 52-53 heroics with no problems at all...seriously. We XP by ourselves in Living Tombs. How, you ask? I use a sword and shield, defensive stance, and use all of my defensive buffs. The Necro does great dps (especially with his scout pet hitting for as much as 1600) and he can heal with transfer life for about 1,000 hp. He can then lifetap the mob (getting his hp back and doing even more dps) and have his HP back to heal me even more. This does take some coodination and skill, tho. You'll have to practice on it.And, I have duo'ed with my gf on her 48 templar. We could barely kill 48 heroics with me being level 50 and her 48. That's my 2 cp.<div></div>
