<p>The only time I use 1h is when I have my shield out and I am main tank.</p><p>If im solo/grinding I prefer dual wield weapons. You get stats from 2 weapons as opposed to 1. I like to use slash in 1h and blunt in the other that way my skill in both is always capped.</p><p>2H hit hard but are slower. Some may say they are better than dual wield but personal preference I like dual wield. I do use a 2h now and again just for kicks.</p><p> </p><p>I would say its purely preference. I will say if you group and your a mt to use a shield + 1h your healers will appreciate it.</p>

<div>Personally, I prefer a two-handed weapon when solo-ing.</div><div> </div><div>The weapon i've chosen is typically faster than most two-handed weapons, but does less damage. However, it's slower than most one-handed weapons and does quite a bit more damage. The proc seems to fire off more often than dual-weapons too, when compared to my lower level assassin at any rate. The weapon I personally use when solo-ing is a Pristine Imbued Cobalt [Removed for Content] Sword.</div><div> </div><div>When being an MT for a group, I always go sword and board. As the previous poster mentioned, it's easier on the healers. So i'll use the weapon I found down in the Eye of Anuk (Blademaster's Shredder) and my Pristine Imbued Ironwood Tower Shield.</div><div> </div><div>Seems to be all down to preference... in my experience.</div>

<div></div><div>Aye for soloing easy oppenants i use 2 Hander in attack stance (my 2 hander is Pristine Cobalt Executioner Axe) + alotta AE and multi hit/ low power spells to get those procs going also helps attack stance procs to work <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. </div><div> </div><div>- For Medium oppenants i tend to use a 1h with attack stance and shield - keeps those procs from attack stance which help your 1h proc more too (same goes for 2h)</div><div> </div><div>- For Hard opponents i tend to use 1h with defensive stance and shield.</div><div> </div><div>i have two primary 1hander weapons - how and why i use them;</div><div> </div><div>Screaming Mace - Excellent weapon! Only Topped by Pris 1.0 (or some exotic fabled t5/6  weapon).  </div><div> <em>Place it your spell bar - Late Tier 6 chars will find the dps on this thing awful</em></div><div><em> - Best Method for use of SM imo = Equip when power runs to about 20-30% and use alotta multi hit/ low power attacks to get the procs firing.</em></div><div><em> - Equiping at less the 20-30% will mean that you may find you have insufficient power to proc enough.</em></div><div> </div><div>Sceptor of Rahotep - Excellent Dps weapon</div><div> <em>This mace has almost as good dps as my Pristine Executioner Axe (post LU - 19 it would seem) - although it does NOT have a proc - BAH!</em></div><div><em>     - Best to use this to start a fight... and if it looks like its gunna go on for a while and your low on power switch to SM</em></div><div> </div><div>Pristine Cobalt Executioner Axe - Best Dps Weapon</div><div>  <em>I believe 2h are in there element with zerkers.  The combination of Rampage + Open Wounds + Attack Stance = Extremely Deadly attack @lvl 60 i can wipe a named group of level 56 V, ^ and get ^^ to red whilst the named in it is in yellow/orange <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. </em></div><div> </div><div>The Prismatic 1.0 and 2.0 (iam v. close to getting both atm <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> )  will be a god send imo!!!  Looking at 1h Pris one and 2h Pris two (although atm you can switch between Pris 2.0 1h and pris 2.0 2h!! AND they stat adds/buffs change Accordingly</div><div> </div><div>as for Duel Wield - I used them alot in my 30s and early 40s (in game <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> ) and found them to painfully bad at dps - this was pre lu - 13 btw.  But i feel that the same reason may still apply today.   Say if one of your hits is parried or blocked,  this means your dps is literally halved!! and against a high level oppanent where misses are common this would be fatal.... Anyone else think different?</div>

<div></div><div>For DPS I absolutely have to go Dual-Wield.  I run a damage parser while soloing and raiding, and have tried various combinations of 2-hand vs Dual-Wield.  Since the last few LU's they have increased to proc of the Gleaming stike on the dual wield weapons as well. </div><div> </div><div>My combo of Rampage - Open Wounds while in Offensive stance wipes mobs .  On raids I've been known to spike 500+ dps for fights over 1:09.  48K total dmg done.  Of course high strength plays alot into it.  Self buffed @ around 400 ATM.  But still, Dual-Wield is the way to go for me.  Let the SK's, Pally's, and Gaurd's have the two-handers for thier DPS.  I'll go Dual-Wield everytime.  And BTW- I'm still only using Ironwood Fighting Batons.   Can't wait to get some good fabled dual-wields....</div><p> </p><p>I would love to hear some other responses as well</p>

Only level 42 here, but lucky to have looted a 3.8 delay fabled procing 2h piercer. None of the crafted DW  can beat it in dps. Almost 25% of the time shooting an arrow will trigger off a proc.  Frequently proc 2-3 in a row especially vs group mob.  I usually go for the slowest weapon with proc which happens to be 2 hander. The damage and proc rate are wonderful.<div></div>

Esp. somthin like the Rock Targe (standard T 6 fabled shield).</div><div> </div><div>I believe the SoE have designed the game this way too, so unless you found some uber secret (which would be a holygrail for us berserkers!!) i think youd find it alot easier - Lol dont get me wrong though, if your happy slaying mobs with a sxy 2h then go for it!!</div><p> </p><p>-- Hmm i think i may try out Dual wield again - still not sure of it.   Whats the best/cheapest combo of duel wield for T 6?</p><div></div><p>Vladnor The Berserk</p><p>60 Berserker</p><p>40 Armorer</p><p>The Odyessy</p><p>Butcherblock</p>

<div></div><p>As a note, your weapon only effects the damage type of skills that list melee damage as the damage type. Only the main hand while dual wielding effects this. If it says slashing damage in the skill, it always does slashing damage regardless of weapon. The only effect that the weapon has on combat skills are accuracy (if the skill for the weapon you are using is low, CAs are more likely to miss) and procs, since most melee CAs allow for procs to occur from the weapon (I say most because I haven't used every melee skill and seen it proc, but then again not seeing something proc doesn't mean it can't).</p><p>One handed weapon + Shield: Berserkers get Tower Shields, which add a good amount of avoidance, and one of the main roles of the tank is to limit the amount of damage they take. It is the worst damage of the three, but it is purely something for being a tank in a group. Really isn't that good for soloing unless you have a really, really awesome one handed weapon that can do equivalent damage to two handed or duel wielding weapons you have access to.</p><p>Dual Wielding: For the same quality of items, dual wielding does more damage than one or two handed weapons. While only the main hand procs most abilities and effects CAs, the second weapon can still proc its imbued proc. Potentially much greater damage with lucky procs. Also the stats you gain from dual wielding does seem to be better in most cases than two handed weapons. However, the fact is you need two good weapons, which makes them more expensive, especially for multiple damage types to be available. You can just buy three and always split the damage type, but if one damage type is far better in a situation (such as it being majorly debuffed or the mob being particularly weak) than having 6 is probably the best for a hardcore player.</p><p>Two Handed weapons: Better damage than one handed weapons, cheaper than dual wielding since you need one good weapon, not two. Fabled two handed weapons and good quest and HQ two handed weapons are far more plentiful than dual wielded ones.</p><p>Dual Wielding is better, but getting a good two handed weapon takes far less time, effort, and/or expense than getting two good dual wielded ones. Especially since Fabled and HQ two handers tend to be better than dual wielded ones (not to mention the obviously larger expense and difficult of getting two Fabled dual wield weapons as opposed to one two handed one).</p><p>Even so, a Berserker really should have a good one hander and tower shield. It isn't impossible to tank without them, but in a group, it is usually far better for the Berserker to limit the amount of damage they take, even if it means not doing as much damage, assuming they can still hold hate without the extra damage, of course.</p>

Soloing:  2h:  Captains Ever-Shifiting VougeRaiding:  2h:  Captains Ever-Shifiting VougeRaiding MT:  1H.  Dark Fury Sword and Aegis True DefenseI gave up on the Dual weild soloing mostly due to the fact that the Vouge has the stats of just about if not more than 2 cobalt dualies and it has the ae stun which aids alot in crowd control.  THe only time i break out my dual weild piercers anymore is for immunites and if i am not MT in a group setting which happens very very little.<div></div>
