Hi,

I had a guild at release and we had a blast for a month or so then all left for WoW (mostly friends). Well, a few of us have recently returned and have found a lot has changed. I am very happy with the changes! However, I have some questions about some things that I dont know a lot about still. I just found out about putting items in your house and being able to sell them even when not online. This rocks!

Potions: What types are available and what do I search for on the brokers to browse them?

Hex Dolls: I bought 2, found out one of them is a snare and not a combat slow, but still like the new slot items. What else can Hex dolls do besides snare, slow melee, and decrease mitigation vs. melee?

Totems: I bought an invis totem. For my class, it is a well worthwhile purchase. Any other totems out there and what are their uses?

Scaled Instances: I have found Splitpaw to be fun and a great idea for my small 4 man group (Zerker, Defiler, Assasin, Wizard). The scaled instances rock. What else out there in the world scales such as Splitpaw for us to explore?

Sorry that I am all over the place and probably posting in the wrong forum (ok, not probably, definitately), but I have been reading my class forum forever and know that you guys are very helpful with pretty much everything. Thanks in advance!

Hey.......as I am both a 60 zerker and 60 alchemist i may be of some assitance to your questions....

1) Potions: What types are available and what do I search for on the brokers to browse them?

Well this is changing when the upcoming expansion is realeased.....but as it stands now you can get a potion to raise any stat you like.... ie: str/sta, agi, wis/int, mitigation, any resist, hp pool, power pool, there are damage shields, heals, and power heals. Now if your searching on the broker, and you limit to look for only potions.......I would suggest also typing in Translucent and then performing the search. This way you wont get any totems or hex dolls in your search, just pristine potioins.

2) Hex Dolls: I bought 2, found out one of them is a snare and not a combat slow, but still like the new slot items. What else can Hex dolls do besides snare, slow melee, and decrease mitigation vs. melee?

Well for me Hex dolls are primarly a stat......such as +str or +sta, but your right they do have clickable effecst such as snare or slow.....im not sure wich ones do which though.

3) Totems: I bought an invis totem. For my class, it is a well worthwhile purchase. Any other totems out there and what are their uses?

I dont use alot of totems........except the one your talking about......totem of the chameleon, and its pretty much invaluable hehe.

4) Scaled Instances: I have found Splitpaw to be fun and a great idea for my small 4 man group (Zerker, Defiler, Assasin, Wizard). The scaled instances rock. What else out there in the world scales such as Splitpaw for us to explore?

Well I'm not to sure on this one.......outside of splitpaw im not sure if anything else scales to your level. I remember hearing talk of T5 instances scaling so that level 60's could still do them and not grey them out, but I just killed lavaborn the other day while we hit the MG instance to start prismatic quest for a couple new guildies, and the encounter was totally greyed out. So i guess cross your fingers for something in the new expansion maybe.

Hope I cleared up some of the things you wanted to know........I dont post much but im really bored right now haha.

I returned a couple weeks ago after a long hiatus as well.

(I also have a lot of alts, so I've played them as well as my 'Zerker, who is my primary and just hit 40 today.)

First thing I did was arrange my skills by catagory. That way I could tell which was the latest upgrade by type/ability.

Once I had that established, I then arranged everything by level to determine what upgrades I needed. Checking equipment I find now to be difficult: Items are grey, white or red. I have to compare mitigation to determine upgrade paths for armor, damage rating for weapons.

After that, I then went to zones with various greens, to get a feel for gameplay: Managing AoE taunts, AoE attacks, different stances, etc. It takes a few hours to get back in the groove, so to speak.

For my hotkeys, I group abilites: Taunts, buffs, CAs, AoEs, creature masterys. I'm not nearly as efficient as I could be, but so far I'm doing okay.

I don't feel as 'mighty' as I did prior to the combat changes, but I'm still re-learning. On the plus side, it's like playing an entirely new game Re-addiction has happend quickly

G'luck! I hope others far more knowledgeable than I provide feedback for you, too.
