Does the race make that much difference?

<P>then you already know the answer....not really. anyone can be anything and they can be dang good at it. </P> <P>i make alts that generally would fit their intended role, so their starting stats arent horribly off, like making a character with no stamina a fighter. but even then, through gear and through stat selection, you can overcome weaknesses with ease.</P> <P>my wood elf should have crappy strenth due to his race, but he has more strenth than most ogres and trolls i run into. its all in how you play it. besides, RP'ing a oddball character is gosh darn fun anyway <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></P>

I am completely taken with the Iksar race....lizardmen...too cool...so every class i play will be one, until something better comes along...stats are great but they all start so close that i don't see how they make a big diff in the future.
