<DIV>I really like this spell, and want to know what people think about it and should I upgrade it to Adept 3. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Also if anyone could recomend what adept 3 skills to get. I'm lvl 60 I have my taunts and Adept 3 and Master 2 and my Defensive stance at Adept 3, Weapon Agesis as Master 1 and all my Ancient teaching skills. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>On a side note anyone else having agro issues when grouped with a Warlock? In a group without a warlock I can hold agro fine but get the warlock in the group and I can use all taunts, rescue insulent gibe and the root agro control (taunting defence I think its called) and I can't get agro back until he dies.</DIV>
<P>Warlocks can be tough due to their AE damage and its tough for tanks to AE taunt so much. Here is what I do, group with a warlock daily. On a multiple mob encounter, cast rampage before the inc. Pull then hit gibe, then fearsome shout, then rampage the encounter. That should keep them on you. If not, try to keep Slay up so you can stun anyones that do go for the warlock.</P> <P>As for Rampage, do the splitpaw group arena now and then, fair chance of the master dropping there.</P><p>Message Edited by Khalad on <span class=date_text>12-05-2005</span> <span class=time_text>07:25 AM</span>

Aggro management is a group affair. It's really not that hard to pull aggro off a tank. How does the saying go? Anyone can pull a mob off a tank, but only an idiot would. If various members of your group are taking aggro from you, then you might be the problem. If one particular person is taking aggro from you then that person is likely the problem. Also, mages are more likely to have upgraded their spells where as tanks are more likely to upgrade armor. Typically you run into the situation where the tank might have adept 3's or two but typically only adept 1 at best where as the mage often has multiple adept 3/Masters for the highest damage and debuff spells. How many taunts do we have that go over 1000 points of aggro? Just the 10 minute recast rescue right? How many spells does a warlock have that deals mutliples of thousands of damage in just a few seconds? Don't forget the warlock debuffs <span>:smileywink: </span><div></div>

<DIV>It just seems to be the Warlock that can pull the agro. If I cast Insolent Gibe, Rampage, Open wounds and use all my taunts I'm fine but I can't use this for every fight unless I want to wait 3 mins between fighting. My taunts are Adept 3 and Master 2. If I don't have Insolent Gibe, Rampage and Open wounds ready I normally start the fight with single taunt, group taunt then all the AOE's and then taunt when they are up and pray that I can hold the agro. I've told the Warlock to hold off on the big spells till I have agro. Not sure if he is doing this. </DIV>
Insolent Gibe's initial taunt is also over 1k.
<DIV>No it isnt, 900+ initial Threat on IG </DIV>

The master is over 1k, how do you know how much of a taunt you have done?

my other main is a wizzy. they have no where near the AOE power that locks do, and yet i can pull aggro from any tank i want at any time i want. it can be a gaurdian with master taunts. as he said, almost anyone can pull aggro, they just have to be smart enough not

I think its worth it, I went Master I on my Fearsome Shout also and Master II on the Self Zerk buff. Taunting Defence is also one you should upgrade to master or AD3 as soon as you can. Also get AD3/Master on any AOE type stuff, its worth it. we do our best damage while tanking a large group mob. and the more damage you can do to that mob the more hate you can get. most people are just hitting what you target, but with your AOE proc's and CA's you can have some UBER DPS and keep aggro.
