View Full Version : After the fighter tree adjustments, where will the Berserker stand?

<DIV>I started a berserker and have had more fun playing him than any other class thus far. What worries me however, is the melee adjustments that will be coming down the pipe in the future. Has anyone read where the berserker will stand relative to, not only other fighters, but the scout tree as well? Obviously, the scout tree will be ahead of the fighters, but will ALL scouts be ahead and by how much? With the future combat changes, fights may be so long as to require more melee DPS. If the gap between the fighter and scout tree is great enough, the berserker might not be able to fill the role of DPS. Just wondering what everyone's read and what your thoughts on the issue are.</DIV>

If they do make some changes, I hope they lean us more towards the DPS
From what I've read, we will be the 3rd best tank in the fighter tree, and the 4th best dps in the fighter tree. Tanking (Guardian, Paladin, Berserker, ShadowKnight, Monk, Bruiser) DPS (Bruiser, Monk, ShadowKnight, Berserker, Paladin, Guardian) Personally I wish they would move us farther up the DPS side, I would like Tanking -- (Guard, Pal, SK, Monk, Bers, Bruiser) -- DPS or at least Tanking -- (Guard, Pal, SK, Bers, Monk, Bruiser) -- DPS Although, if you look at the fact that we have 2 of each "type", (Offensive/Defensive) -- (Guard/Bers), (Pal/SK), (Monk/Bruiser) maybe it should be Tanking -- (Guard, Pal, Monk, Bers, SK, Bruiser) -- DPS but then again, looking at descriptions of the classes, trees, etc... It looks like they have it right...? <div></div>
As far as fighter tree, scout tree. I think I read that it would be DPS -- (Mages, Scouts, Priests, Fighters)? not sure on that one though, maybe the priests and fighters are swapped. but either way there is gonna be a significant dps difference between scouts and fighters <div></div>

<P>Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the upcoming changes. What is going to happen is going to happen. No one is really sure what exactly the changes will be, so it's pointless to worry about until then. If you like your berserker now then stick with him.</P> <DIV>Scaraxis Frostfury</DIV> <DIV>Level 43 Berserker</DIV> <DIV>Guild Leader of The Wicked</DIV> <DIV>Antonia Bayle</DIV>

Problem is that they nerfed our class over and over and now with these changes will get more nerfs. <div></div>

<P>Looks like they're (for once) testing and thinking about this... trying things out and revising stuff. It looks like it won't come to live until the test comunity agrees they're happy with it... so hopefully (fingers crossed!!) thinks will be a little different perhaps, but no-one will be nerf'd.</P> <P> </P> <P>(I still think it's odd they can rebalance the mechanics of the game based on data from classes with broken skills tho... surely they'd want to fix all the skills first... oh well..)</P>

<P>If these changes do go in it will be very unfair. Why should Paladins get more utility and tanking ability than us and all we get is more dps. This plan of dps vs. tanking ability would be good if it wasnt for utility. I think that berserkers and paladins should tank the same, but paladins should have more utility while berserkers have more dps. Am I wrong. LOUD NOISES!!!!!</P> <P> </P>
