Berserk Spirit

<DIV>Now this is what I call "Berserk"....as I was fighting the other day, and I seen my character going "Berserk", the look and everything isn't all that special.  Boom! I've been checking out WoW more and more lately, and man I gotta say what it lacks in "tech" it more than makes up for is atmosphere and style. I see my days in EQ2 becoming less and less. I think this is the same for many others I have communicated with as well. </DIV> <DIV>Our guild has had so many leave and it's a great solid and well organized guild. EQ2 needs a major "face lift" or it will continue to lose it's players. Sad...</DIV>

<P>The irony to this last post is I just left WoW to *return* to EQ2. WoW is fun the first few weeks you play it (at which point, if your worth your salt, your already 50). After that there is very little end-game content and the PvP is simply people lining up and charging each other in pointless battles over assets that never change hands. WoW is well made and has alot going for it but it lacks content... (something EQ2 actually contains a ton of).</P>

<P>well kozah, the thing you have to look at is that equation in terms of playability and such.</P> <P>I would prefer style, diversity, and creativity over content. Simply because content is the easy part.... Totally readjusting a games core is not. Especially in EQ's case because there will never be any class/race specific armor because of the way the game has been set up. But just as they may make class specific, they still got to take all the time in the graphics room to make them all fit EVERY race perfectly.</P> <P>I would prefer the look and the feel to be better than the content because adding in a dungeon here and there is simple in the bigger scheme of things.</P>

All the people i know who played Lineage sacked that to come and play EQ2. Style isnt everything, just one facet. Take the monks dragon stance for example... plenty of style there.</P> <P>@Astrocat. All the people i know who left EQ2 to try WoW have since returned to EQ2 ( 10+ ). WoW is *$%#&!, endgame in 20 hours grinding, crafting with no challenge, mindless / pointless PvP and worst of all the most unrealistically hyped gameplay of the century. Not forgetting constant visits to this forum from blizzard fanboys. So do SoE a favour, check out WoW some more, but this time shut the door on your way out.</P>

Dont have any clue about WoW or Lineage, dont really care bout them either.  When it comes to how my toon looks, sure there could be improvements, I mean I wish my toon would grow horns and breathe fire when berserk, if they could do that without it effecting gameplay or creating lag or anything else negative Im sure they would have gone farther with character effects.  Yes the glowin hand and cuddly bear are pretty lame, but if thats all they can do without effecting gameplay, oh well.  That being said, I hope they are working there [Removed for Content] off tryin to make some cooler effects that will actually work:smileywink:
