View Full Version : Keeping Aggro help
Im a lvl 68 guardian. I have all legendary looted/crafted armor. I do not raid MT. I have adapts 3s for Confront, protection, vindictive strike. I mainly group with Mystic 67 and Monk 69. Even before the change, I couldnot keep aggro the Monk. After the change I feel its worse. My new aggresion skill is maxed but the Monk pulls aggro almost every fight without taunting. I know he is not taunting because Im talking to him while we play. It jsut feels like I cannot keep aggro from anyone. I basically do the following, taunt + damage + taunt + damage - im using my defensive stance.Any pointers or thoughts.thanksBF<div></div>

<DIV>Brawlers have a lot of dps. They are GOING to pull agro. The only way to get this fixed it for your brawler to manage his/her agro. </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The fixes are. Str line AA has the 10% hate. I could hold agro 99% of time with this and with buckler for dps.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Or get group with a toon that can give you hate.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Brawlers Have always has alot of dps making it very hard to keep agro off them as they have no de -agro abilities.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Lots of mages have lots of de-agro spells and other classes that dps to help them manage thier agro.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>SK... With death march ahhaha.... Dont matter if you are raid agro buffed they can take agro ... But like to do it, makes them feel more involved in the raid or something,...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>AA for hate and dps is the only real fix and having people that no how to manage thier own agro...</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>This is part of being dps.</DIV>

1. Make sure you have moderate on the monk.2. Make sure he isn't in his hate stance3. Urge him to go down the AA line that gives him agro reducing stance.4. Get a swash or assasin in group to get more hate.5. Don't sweat it, when he pulls agro, just intercept.Part of it is the brawler learning to manage thier own agro. In general, group or raid, brawler is the most common class to be pulling agro, followed by monks and warlocks. Might want to adept3 that moderate too if you haven't.Beyond that, there is a nice shield and belt that drop in CMM that gives hate proc.<div></div>

In addition to the last reply (all good ideas)Get the monk to play defensive as well.Have him buff with defensive stance and give you the chance to use his avoidance buff (whatever it is called for a monk)Remind him to be interceding whenever he can, having him watch to do that will lower use damage output a little bit.Switch your own stances throughout the fight. Once you are sure that you won't be getting adds, swap to offensive, you only lose a little avoidance and some heat resist. The loss to mitigation isn't as much as it used to be.STR potions, more strength = more damage. More damage = more hate. The first few points do include him lowering his dps output, and in turn the groups dps. That means you will be taking hits for longer.Up to you how you want to go about it.<div></div>
