<div>Ok, from what i understand, the max resist u can muster against a mob is 100 * mob level (ie level 58 mob, you'd need 5800 to not take any spell dmg), with the exception of certain raid mobs that have been capped at resisting 50% of their spell dmg. So say there's an afformentioned level 62 raid mob you're fighting, the max resist you could actually use would still be 6200 (to absorb 50% of it's dmg)? so if you have 6201 it's no better than 6200 correct? Just making sure I'm going about this correctly.</div><div> </div><div>2nd thing is, what are some treasured pieces that have abnormally high resists? I.e. Poison Dipped Belt from roost has +510 vs poison and Earring of Holy Affinity has +660 divine. Lookin to pick up some more cheap gear for situational use. Anyone know of any others w/ 500+ resists?</div><div> </div><div>Thanks</div>

For another poison get the venom glazed earing. And as to the poster above me, Band of Vim is also nice for the Sta.</span><div></div>

<div></div><p>You are sorta on the right track for resists. 100 * mob level gives the estimated resisted needed for least damage taken. Problem is you can only mitigate 70% damage using non physical resists or 80% vs physical. So you would have to adjust your formula slightly to take that into consideration. Now this only works on a solo con mob of exactly your level. If the mob is lower level then less resists are needed and if the mob is higher level then more resists are needed.</p><p>Example of this is at level 60 to resist 100% of the level 60 solo con mobs damage you need 6000 mitigation vs their attack, however since there is a max of 70% non physical you only need 4200 (6000 * .70). If the mob is solo con level 61 then you would need 4270 + the level modifier whatever that may be. The further a mob is from your level the larger the modifier. There is a HUGE jump in this at +/- 5 levels and again a +/- 10 levels.</p><p>After taking the mobs level into account you have to adjust for ^, ^^, ^^^ and of course ^^^Epic. Each of these is an additional modifier that makes the mob harder to resist.</p><p>The same works for all lower level or down arrow mobs but you subtract the resist instead of add.</p>
