Discovery! A Guardians New Role

After playing a guardian for 60 levels, I've found the role best suited for a guardian.POWER LEVELING!Yes indeed, power level your friends to 40+ in a couple of days with your guardians super taunting abilities. Find your friends alts some orange con triple ups, let them engage the mob, taunt it off them and let them go to town.TWEAK'AGESame principle, but to named mobs for phat gear for your twinkAfter 60 levels, this is the only thing I use my guardian for now. Thanks SOE for providing a good Power Level and Tweak'age class for my friends and guildies.Seriously guardians, the only way SOE will change guardians is if the player base playing them play something else. Roll yourself a ranger and solo mobs in 3 seconds instead of 3 minutes like a guardian.Peace out! I'll be in the Ranger forum cheering instead of in the Guardian forums complaining.<div></div>

Yup. Thats the one area we excel in <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> Cos our aggro is not based upon our dps (hehe can u imagine if it was) we can keep aggro even up to lvl 50 without needing to do any damage. And any mage/scout class can out dps a guardian once it gets to about lvl 50 so they can even do dps at 50 and still not reduce the exp from the mob.Im waiting for someone to tell me this was part of Sonys vision <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> "Yes some fghters can DPS, some can self heal, some are great soloers, but others will be the ultimate power levelers!"

<div></div><div></div><p>Hey guys.  hate to burst your buble here.</p><p>54 Guardian here who leveled his alt dirge to 60.</p><p>I tried this very thing for guildies with the Guardian.  It worked as you said.  Then one day I was on the Dirge.  I got a request from a group of guildies to help power level,  I just ran the dirge out to TS for them.  I would debuff the mob after they pulled and WHAM.  Solid agro lock.  Debuffs draw a lot of hate and with no tank taunting against you they stick to you like an IRS agent at tax time.  Not to mention that when you see they have damaged it you can let loose with your DPS for a faster kill.</p><p>So yea Guardian is good for power leveling but not Tier 1 IMO  :smileysad:</p><p> </p><p>Message Edited by Warbird1 on <span class="date_text">01-12-2006</span><span class="time_text">08:22 AM</span></p>

<div></div><p>i just use my lvl57 guardian primarily for harvesting now. but i thought i would just chime in on an awesome group of guildmates we formed last night for some heavy xp pounding in RE. fury (lvl37), illusionist lvl (37), ranger (41), dirge (41). it was sweet dirge would pull with hate song, illusionist would mez adds.. ranger would burn through mobs with dirge helping, fury (me) would debuff, heal as  need, and blast a couple mini-nukes every once in a while. man how things have changed i thought when it comes to fighters - used to be 6 .. now dont even need one hehe....</p><p> </p><p> </p>

<div></div>Any class capable of taunting can PL n00bs actually so ya um try again I'm sure even the n00bs would say oh we'd rather have a pally cause he can at least rezz us when we wipe and believe it or not we had a guardian do this and my 29 assassin was able to pull aggro off a 60 guardian on a level 33 mob...sad.

<div></div>My friends and I (just before I left) gathered our Guardians around the crater in the Thundering Steppes and ran toward it with SOW on, jumped, and see who could take the most damage!  Then we did that for like 3 hours and got bored with it and that was the most exciting thing to do with a Guardian post - LU13.

<div></div>My wife has a 29 conjuror and a 24 inquisitor that she makes me power level them (god I hate those sad looks that women give to make you do crap). We have three acounts. She pulls with the mage, I taunt and her and the inquisitor are grouped for the experiance. Her, at 29 can easily pull agro off me on orange ^^^. I can easily lock agro on the ^^ and down. I have all adept 3 taunts and I use inflaming defense and give them my back so they can hit me and get it to proc.
