How exactly does tower of stone work? Say I have a tier 1 tower shield, will it absorb as much damage as a tier 6 one? or does the spell only work with a tier 6 shield. I am just wondering if it would be worth my time to grind out a bunch of the cheap tower shields and give them to our guardian MT as "Disposable shields for raids.

Any help is appreciated

Not sure I am even gonna get this skill hehe, At 59 now and can't bring myself to spend any coin on it. I'll tell you this much. If they let us use any shield in conjunction with this spell then they need to give us a "quiver" for them like rangers are getting for arrows.

:smileyvery-happy:

Krrrath lvl 59 Guardian of Kithicor (can't wait to be back up to average)

15 seconf buff.. blocks 3 hits over 10% of hp.. lose 15% shield durability per block... piece of crap. Dont want t1 shields as they wont block normal hits. I carry like 10 fabled t5 shields and a few ironwood.

Message Edited by TunaBoo on 11-01-2005 02:02 PM

Even if it didn't lose damage to the shield, Monk's Tsunami would still be better since it lasts 12s and is all attacks.

ToS now is about as useful as Guardian's Sphere and Sentry.

My mender likes it. I think this is one of those SOE scams designed to take coin out of the world.

I've found it useful. Usually use it on tough named so it gives the healers time in the beginning to start getting heals off. Granted, the dmg it does to shield does suck, I think its still worth getting. Nice to be able to absorb some of the initial burst damage.

Message Edited by Rakooliuss on 11-01-2005 05:36 PM

Also only works on tower shields. I guess hence the name... tower of stone. Found that out while trying to use it wearing my nice t6 shield from Scornfeathers.

Can honestly say I've never used this skill once yet. And doesn't look like I'll start soon.
