So many Classes So hard to Balance

I think SOE made a big mistake by promising Balance between all the classes of an Archetype. With so many classes I believe it is almost a lost cause of trying to balance them all. If they plan on balancing than they might as well have just had 4 classes.....Warrior, Scout, Priest, and mage. I know that is a limited choice and would be pretty boring but that may have been the only way. I would much rather see a number of different classes each with a specific role that they excell in. This actually might be the case at the current time I'm just not happy with the role that Guardians excell in, if they actually excell in any role but that is for another thread. Feel free to tell me to go and find another MMO that I would enjoy more but the truth is I enjoy how the game works...from combat to questing. I'm just waiting for an improvement to my class.

<P>The problem is there's too many different abilities in the game and that mob's and players have the same skills.</P> <P>When SOE buffs one ability up, it affects every class + mob in the game and winds up breaking something else.  Like the wizard/warlock revamp when caster mobs went from easy to near impossible.  (See Drayek, version Ice Comet)</P> <P>Then SOE fixes that problem by nerfing something which causes a chain reaction and makes something else possible and so on.</P>
