View Full Version : Vendor Function Wishlist: a Way to remove "invalid" entries after solving, etc.

Salutations to Whom it May Concern:

Everybody has an "oops" now and then. I made an "oops" on a PlayerStudio submission.

I waited for it to process, saw that it was flagged "invalid" -- and what was wrong with it.

I corrected the contents of the .zip file, and re-submitted.

However, every INVALID entry remains there taking up space on my page (and possibly your server, as well).

So I'm wondering if you would please consider allowing players to remove invalid entries, so they're not taking up anybody's space, after the player has seen why the entry was invalid and decided what to do about it?

Please at least consider this? It would make monitoring valid entries much easier!

Many thanks, and have a nice day.

Edit: Probably best if there's a way to remove "Declined" entries after reading and understanding, also. Again, so we can focus on what's either "under consideration" or "in process" and not have the page cluttered up by things that aren't happening. Thank you for your time, and have a nice day.

I'm adding these to the list of features under consideration for our next update. Thanks.

I'll agree...

It would be much easier to monitor updates of entries if invalid entries and declined items could be removed from the "Submission status" display by the submitter (us player-types).

After reading the information, and deciding what adjustments to make, and perhaps even re-submitting revised versions... being able to focus on items that may hope for positive updates and not distracted by those that will never move forward would be an improvement.

Please and thanks!

Can we also suggest a meant to track popularity of items that are in the complete status? I understand you may not beable to give us numbers of units sold but a simple sort would suffice. Just so we know what people like of our items and we can move with designing items that fit that area.

It would be great to see how well our items are selling on a day to day or week to week basis. We could see what the players want and avoid model types that don't seem to be popular.

I have asked about a "sales report" of sorts several times, with no answer (even via e-mail). Even a weekly one would nice at this point. It would make it easier for us, as designers to see what other players like that we are making (or not like), and plan accordingly as to whether we contine on the same path, change slightly, or do a complete 180 in the direction of our items.

The addition of a sales report page would be nifty, as a way to know which of my items are more popular so when I'm low on inspiration for entirely different things, I could perhaps make more that's similar to whatever is popular. *nod*

However, I'd *still* very much like to see upgrades to the submission status page that permit me to remove (or permanently hide) invalid entries and those declined (especially when it's only because they were an additional color option). Before SOE said they only want one version of each item, I had submitted a few things in multiple colors.

Now those "declined this color" items (and a few "invalid" / 'oops!' entries) are cluttering up my status pages, and I'd really like a method available to make them disappear from that display. They can stay in SOE's system for whatever record-keeping purposes desired -- I'd just like to be able to hide them when I'm checking for if recent "pending content" items have been accepted.

Please consider, SOE site peoples? *puppy-dog eyes*

Many thanks for your time, and have a nice day.

Creators need a way to evaluate which items are more popular than others. It's obvious. We must do this.

Unfortunately, none of the relatively simple approaches are available for this. A more elaborate approach is necessary and that takes time and approvals. My apologies for the delay.

I would love to see a way to put certain items on the fast track. I do not mean where our items could skip other artists' models, but where we can put items towards the front of our individual cue and perhaps move others to the back.

Personally I have some items that I made early on that are have been accepted, but I have many others that I made since that I would rather see up for sale.

Since this appears to be the "wish list for PlayerStudio submission page[s]" thread...

As we continue making things, we learn.

You do want our *best* work, correct? Well, I want to offer my best work, too!

My best work of 2 weeks ago may not be as good as my best work today.

Sometimes one of us may realize that an item already submitted could be significantly improved because of something that was learned *after* submitting it. This may result in a desire to withdraw an older version and submit an updated version instead.

Currently, there is no way to do this.

If there was a way to do this, that would be very helpful... not only for us player-submitters, but potentially also for the review team(s).

It could save the review team(s) some time - spare them from needing to review and decline and give feedback, if we (the freelance content creator[s]) have ourselves already realized some ways that a particular submission could be better.

Then we would have corrected the mistakes we realized (belatedly) that were made, giving the review team(s) fewer things to have to give feedback about, and one less round of decline-feedback.

Even if it was limited to entries in the "Valid" stage, and not allowed for the "Pending Content" or other stages, it would be helpful.

Please consider? Many thanks.

Another "wish list" notion that has just occurred to me... (can't imagine why it didn't cross my mind earlier) ...

Could we perhaps add to the .txt document a place to "opt in" or "opt out" of SC Market's discount sales (and have the choice implemented accordingly)?

For example, if SOE puts all SOE-make cloaks on a 50% sale:

some PlayerStudio artists may want to "opt in" and have the temporary discount applied to their items also

others may wish to "opt out" and have their items stay at the normal price and not be discounted at all, ever

The same is likely to be true of those who create items for other categories.

It would be really cool if we had the opportunity to choose, each time we submit an item.

Please consider?

Many thanks for your time, and have a great day.
