A few days ago I announced the demonstration of a few sample pages from our upcomming tradeskill database. At the time however I was not showing off the actual front end, or how searches would be handled. Today we are ready to unveil the database. Take a look.

I encourage everyone to poke around on the database, get a feel for it. Do some searches with it, take a look at how information is listed and presented. Do you like the layout? Think it's better with or without frames? Is it too slow? Too confusing? Let us know. We've created a special email address:
[email protected] so if you have ANY suggestions, anything at all, send an email that way. That email is forwarded to both me and Calthine, and we'll see it right away.

For now there is a bit of information present. We have about half of the Artisan Essential recipes entered, and most of the outfitter essential tier 2 recipes in. Over the next few days I plan to finish up the Artisan recipes, and fill up the other tiers. At that point we're going to start adding the advanced t1 recipes, and move on with the actual higher class levels. So as you play, search for artisan recipes, and outfitter recipes, to actually see what's there. Again, send me a note with anything you think interesting, or could stand to be changed, or any suggestions you have.

Also of course, this is a tremendous amount of work, and we're always looking for volunteers, so if you want to help with this project, drop us a line at
[email protected].

Grats! Very impressive. One question tho, if I choose lets say Woodworker which is a lvl 20 class would that mean my minimum search would have to be from 20-70? or would it start from lvl 1 woodworker? Maybe its a stupid question just a thought.

As of now outfitter essentials 10-19 completed, artisan essentials 2-9 about half way completed (I have several people getting that one worked on) and scholar essentials I believe...10-13 completed, but could be wrong, have to check my spreadsheet.

If you're not coming up with anything, likely we're not at that tier yet. Try a t1 harvest and try it out.

So if you search for woodworker recipes, using the default 1-70 level range, and not assigning a skill, it will show EVERY recipe a woodworker can make.

Which is ALL woodworker recipes, ALL craftsman recipes, and ALL artisan recipes. Which may seem odd when you see your woodworker recipes showing that you can make t1 food and armor. However it is true, a woodworker can make them.

If you want to refine the search to include only recipes actually of the woodworker class, you can simply limit your level range to search from 20 to 70. Additionally if you want to show all recipes 1-70 made by woodworker, but not include miscellanious recipes like t1 food and drink etc, you can narrow by skill, and search only for recipes within that level range that use woodworking.

By default, if you do not narrow your search down, it will show EVERY recipe usable by that class, including artisan and subclass recipes.

Ok :smileyhappy: Thanks for clarifying that. I think its good because they CAN make those items. If I wanted to be Armorer I would be very happy knowing I could make leather and such up until lvl 20.

As of a few moments ago the last artisan essentials book still outstanding from our database was fully inputted. With the completion of that book, our tradeskill database now fully contains all essential tier 1 recipes, as well as all of the tier 2 outfitter recipes as well! We're also making fast work on the craftsman recipes and should finish the tier by tomorrow night, and Scholar shortly afterwards. Stay tuned, and if you haven't yet, take a look in the database.
