www.gnorrath.com Heroic opportunity lists, tutorials and forums. Our goal is to help the community understand and use heroic opportunites. If you have any questions involving heroic opportunities or have some information you would like to share, please stop by. ***Update***The site has been completely revamped, the tables should now be easier to read. The new heroic opportunities have been added. Our screenshot section is also being updated with the new heroic opportunities. New advanced tutorials are in the works and will be on the site shortly. Only downside is due to backup corruption, we lost all of our old forum data. The new forums I think are much nicer, stop by and let us know what you think. Thanks again for all the support we've gotten from the community, the emails and posts have been amazing. We will continue to strive to be the #1 resource for heroic opportunities.
Message Edited by Krazen on 02-06-2005 03:51 PM

Very Helpful thanks for posting it! Now if Sony could be so kind as to make an occasional server wide message mentioning the value of visiting these forums I think it would improve the game play experience of many many players. I am amazed at how many folks do not know about these boards... I get tons of tells each day with questions and most if not all are answered on these boards..

Thanks again for a great post.

I'm curious though if they are random. I mean sometimes I get divine judgement and others I get Inspiring Piety.

Yeah, they are random. For each starter chain, there are three possibilities. A common, uncommon and a rare. If you have a scout in your group, you can have them use an ability with the coin icon on it, such as evade. This ability can only be used once per HO. This will give you the chance of getting one of the other heroic opportunities. It can also just come right back up with the same HO you just had. Hope this helped
Message Edited by Krazen on 11-17-2004 04:44 PM

Great post, so if I understand correctly, since Im a mage, if Im in battle with a group and keep casting my spells during the first part of the triggering then it will cancel the HO, so basically everyone needs to stop casting until the first trigger is done, then everyone can cast while the timer is going.

Exactly, the starter chain can be broken if the wrong spell or skill is used. Once the starter chain is done and the combat wheel comes up with the name of the heroic opportunity on it, it cannot be broken. If your group is prepared for it, you can run through the starter chains rather quickly.

the hard part is STOPPING everyone from mashing buttons at random in a pickup group.. arggh.. and tryign to explain it to them gets you the reputaion of being bossy

I agree Bastol, but in time people will hopefully begin to see the value of using the HO's in a group.
