Launchpad 4 NEVER worked correctly on Splitpaw

<p>Firstly I can't claim this effects the whole server but everyone I speak to has the same problem so if it's not a server problem it is wide spread.</p><p>Since SoE has upgraded us to Launch Pad 4 the smart updating is not really working at all resulting in large downloads.  A guildy told me a fix for this and I have actually tested it for the 1st time today and it works.</p><p>So I start patching gu64.... with the setting "EU English" under the launcher... it wants to download a whopping 2gb... so select "US English" and it wants to download 181 Mb</p><p>"<span style="color: #b0bcc7; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Finished downloading 189,830,037 bytes in 691.436 seconds (274,544 bytes per second)</span></p><p><span style="border-collapse: separate; font-family: 'Times New Roman'; border-spacing: 0px; font-size: medium;"><span style="color: #b0bcc7; font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">Saved 1,961,031,130 bytes with delta patches"</span><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12px;">  Then I switch to "EU English" .... 8 Mb download.... saving over a 1.8GB download</span></span></p><p>This has been like this since  Launch Pad 4 was forced upon us. (6 months ago or whenever it was)</p>

<p>Thank you for the response.</p><p>Yes the problem is still occuring... 1 thing I would like to re-iterate this is not only effecting me.... Speaking to guildies / friends on Splitpaw out of about 20 people only 1 is claiming they are NOT seeing this Issue.</p>

<p>Just want to put my hand up and say that I get a significantly smaller download if I patch using "US English" rather than EU English ... along with 30 other people in my guild who are spread all over the world on various hardware.</p><p>The only common denominator I can think of for everyone is the launchpad ...</p>

The more data we can gather, the easier we will be able to come up with a solution. Perhaps there is  a correlation to everyone with this problem. Perhaps not.
