I have tried repeatedly to join test copy, using the command as instructed, and have waited for an entire day at times for the supposed "informational message" to appear. It hasn't. any advice? should i enter the command at certain times, perhaps??

Are you using "/testcopy add" and getting a message in the chat box saying that the request was sent? If so, wait a few hours (I normally do this at night and wait until the next morning) and then switch the launcher over to Test and log in. You should see your character replica when the character select screen comes up. As far as I know, it doesn't alert your live server that the copy's been made - you need to go over to the test/test copy select and look.

Specifically:

1) Use "/testcopy add" and recieve an immediate message in chat saying "adding copy request for Character X from Y server to Open Test.."

2) After waiting several hours depending on when you sent it, open launcher. Click on "version: US English" (or whatever you're using) in the upper lefthand corner and change it to "Public Test". Wait for updates, if any, and log in.

3) Find your copied character. If your request was made several times, several copies will appear. I have two TC characters, Lizabethan and LizabethanX, from this previously.

Also, you must create a character on Test Copy for your copied characters to show up. By creating a character, you force an update.

Oops! Feldon is absolutely correct, forgot to mention it. I already had a character on Test, so I didn't remember. Thanks Feldon!
