<p>I know the devs have a lot on their plate regarding DM, but in the far (or near) future, could we focus and adjust more details on the mobs themselves? Perhaps a option to show the mob laying down, or to have its weapon drawn?</p><p>And another suggestion, how about an option in flavor text to enable in a certain proximity. This could be far enough to hear (or see for that matter) but not close enough to agro.</p><p>My dungeon that's in progress would be very appreciative, but it's fine if you can't get to it.</p><p>To those who aren't devs, do you have anything you think should be added to mobs? Besides the ghost walking through walls :p</p>

<p>I remember, I think it was Rothgar, talking about adding the ability to set the mob's default animation(standing, sitting, weapon drawn, etc) back in AoD beta.  Just remember not all mobs have all animation sets, so some mobs might not be able to sit or lie down, etc.  You even notice this on avatars when it comes to things like jumping, etc. </p>

<p>The flavor text is still one of the biggest concerns for decent Dungeon Storytelling. Books and signs work in certain situations but to have mobs patrol about muttering to themselves, giving hints about the dungeon ahead would be fun. Expanding the range flavor text can be seen, either by default or giving creators the opportunity to control the distance it will trigger would be huge.</p>

<p>I know it's heresy to speak of another game being superior to EQ2, however....</p><p>The devs should play a bit of City of Heroes/Villians and take a peek at their Mission creation system. It's is absolutely fantastic. There are TONS of map options (including HUGE outdoor maps). You can create your enemeis completely customizable....and when I say completely, I mean that. Their look, name, color, powers, weapons, roll, difficulty (you can scale them to weaklings all the way up to Arch Villian-which is the boss of bosses), you can make them stand/sit/lay down/cheering/vomiting/dancing/weapons out/crying/etc...any emote you can do with your character, you can make the mobs do. The whole system is fantastic. My favorite feature, however, is mission linking. You can have a mission giver continue the story of your missions (known in game as "Story Arcs"), in which if someone completes your story arc, they get a nice reward at the end.</p><p>With that said, I don't see why EQ2 couldn't have the same features. Hell, go steal the code! lol. Imagine how much more popular player made dungeons would be if we had complete control of the story we want to tell. There are a lot of talented people out there that play this game, and if we could really express our story telling ability, the game would be that much better. I mean, seriously....how many times can you grind Chardok or do the RW every two hours? I'd like to spend time doing something different, myself.</p><p>I played CoH for quite some time and made some really nice missions that I got a lot of email compliments about.
