Can we please get this changed from giving a completely random Elite or Boss to giving a completely random Elite or Boss that we do not already have subscribed to the character that already has it in their tool box.

Its very annoying spending 150 dungeon tokens just to get something you already got. I only use Dungeon Maker on 1 toon, so all the excess Elites/Bosses are a waste of inventory space. Also if other people complain about not being able to get more for their alts, they have another option of claming it on a different toon.

I think this would tremendiously help peopl ewhom are trying to collect all them without having to buy 1000's of packs only to get the same one 4-5 times.

Being completely random means that you can flip a coin 10 times and get heads all 10 times. Statistically, it's supposed to be a 50/50 chance of getting heads or tails. But, being completely random.. Randomness never remembers what the previous outcome was. The only way to fix this in-game is to put a little check mark after a character has already gotten a particular dungeon item.

I'm with you Senkai. What a sinking feeling to spend 150DM's and get a boss you already have.

For you others stuck on RNG's... I understand the concept. I'd just like to add my support to the request for changing it to a better method.

I submitted a bug report in game today for what it's worth. I doubt a GM would change my un-usable spawner so no petition...

I totally support this.

I bought 4 and out of thise only 4 i got 2 of the same.

There is so many bosses but if the chance to get duplicates of an item i can ever only use ones is so high. Whats the point in buying them then? Cant even trade it to my sons account.

How about they organize bosses in ranks. The higher ranked monsters are more rare. If you combine 3 of the same rank you get a random monster from the next rank up. This way if you don't get what you want you can still use it.

What would be more interesting are more combination types. For example, a combination for all ranks could be for bosses that're Size: Big. If you combine 2 of the same rank that're Size: Big then you get 2 of the same rank that're Size: Small. More combination types can make it more interesting and allow you to increase your odds of getting a particular boss.

Maybe there could be a NPC boss trader that performs this function for you. There needs to be a quick way to access the list of different combinations. This way a player can go through them and check their inventory for combinations.

To get a particular boss you might perform several combinations just to get a "free" chance at it. I mean, if you can't use the bosses in your inventory anyway then it may as well be free, right? And ti's a interesing way to use them.

The idea is to reduce the randomness in a way that INVOLVES the player pro-actively.

That's probably too much work, but I'm a sucker for those kinds of things. I also like to have some randomness, but I absolutely hate randomness by itself. If I can impact the results appreciably then I actually like randomness.

I don't even understand why it's random in the first place.

Random bosses (and regular limited mobs) seem to be a barrier to designing a cohesive and meaningful dungeon. Not everyone with an idea for a dungeon will have the time and patience to grind away until they get a boss mob that matches. I'm all for making dungeon design easier to do well, not harder.

In addition, the random aspect keeps the mobs from being bought with station cash - I would think SOE would want more sales.

Mind you, I can work around this, and just use boosters for regular mobs, but it does have me puzzled.

If they were setup so rather then randomly getting activators you could buy a set (e.g spiders, skeletons etc, etc) and then buy specific bosses real meaninful dungeons would be more plentiful.

Yeah, I feel all of your pain on this one. I wanted Drusella Sathir for a dungeon concept I was making.
