I wish for a lot of things. I think we all do.

As I was jumping from character to character I made a huge mistake (was Not paying attention lol) and BOUGHT a new home by accident.

Yup - I thought I was playing a character that owned a certain address and when the message popped up I THOUGHT it said (again - read what pops up!!) "rent due" BUT I didn't even own it and I click the popup and now own a new home!

UN-DO.....UN-DO!!!! Nope too late.....

Almost all of my saved coin is gone!

I stood in the empty house and almost cried - how could I be soooo stupid!

Okay - we all do stupid or dumb things - admit it...

So I started to WISH we could re-sell our homes.

I started to think how awesome it would be to be able to BUY a FURNISHED home! Have some player that has taken the time and effort to decorate be able to SELL a home to another player.

I look at some of the Leaderboard creations and almost drool with envy (maybe even lust). All the creative ideas used, the placement of items, the use of ordinary items to create special looks.

So - I am just sharing a wish or dream with all of you decorators. And a Wish that someday there will be a way to SELL our homes when we decide to upgrade or move. Not loose the money already put into this address.

Am I missing something? Is there already a way to "Transfer title" or Sell?

Your thoughts on my lack of concentration......Thanks for reading!

I think this might be one of the oldest features desired by decorators. However I think the chances of it happening are close to 0. It just seems like it would require too much recoding of how housing works and unlike multiple house ownership it is just not something that they would regain as much from everything they would have to do to implement it.

So, yeah, it is one of those things that for the forseeable future would be only a dream for us decorators. :/

This would be my favorite feature... ever!

Wouldn't it be great to have a board to list "Homes for Sale". Once a place is listed on the sales board, it's removed from your current housing list (tied to vault and such). Then it could be toured and bought by someone else. Is something like that even possible? Who knows... But, we can dream

I would *love* to be able to decorate a house then put it up for sale.

Thanks for the replies!

I just couldn't believe I was SOO stupid and bought that home! I would have given almost anything to "un-Do" or have the ability to re-sell that property!

One stupid action almost disabled that alt. Coin down the drain!

Even the ability to get some coin back when you move to a new location. The option of "Sell or Keep" before the move would be Awesome!! As it is now - when you move you just loose (or keep) the 'old' location.

Let's face it - decoration is not only time consuming BUT Expensive! Yes you can MOVE the objects from one home to another - but that leaves the original home "empty" and in some cases, useless.

In my case - an option or pop-up "do you really want to buy this property" would have helped ROFL! But an Un-Do would have been better!

Thanks again for the replies.

Can't selling a furnished house be done using the layout editor?

Build the home, decorated it fully and then get someone to buy the design?.

The editor will give you a manifest of what you need to have in the house, in a moving crate.. so the new buyer gets the base house, puts the appropriate items in the moving crate and then gives trustee access to the person that has the layout, that person goes in and loads the plan which will extract what it needs from the crate, and voila.. house fully decorated as per origional design.

I am not sure, iff you could take the origional house.. pack it all into a crate and move it with trustee access to the new house and load it, but that might work as well.

Yes, that is possible. However what mappam wanted was a way to recoup the money/status she accidentaly lost by buying a new house. Since she would be adding some decoration to it she would be adding some value to the house too, so whoever bought it would be getting something out of it.

Also it is a interesting idea because then the buyer doesn't have to worry about getting all the materials themselves or figuring out how to load a layout or both parties having to figure out the best way to exchange the layout file. None of this are truely big hurdles but I am always for eliminating as many obstacles as possible when two people want to trade something.

@mappam

I can understand your frustation as I believe I did the same a couple of times after multiple housing ownership came. The sad thing is before that, when we could only have one house, I would always check to see if I wasn't buying a new house by accident as it would mean losing a ton of money and status buying back the old house.
