I'm a returning player about 5 years gone and don't know anyone playing anymore. From all I have read its basically a whole new game complete with the old game I have forgotten most of. Which server is best for rolling up from start. I came back for the beastlord and am excited about playing. Where is the best place to hang your hat?

It really depends on your playstyle. If you're more casual, I would suggest Freeport server simply because it has a massive population of players spread out across the spectrum of levels.

However, if you're more inclined toward serious raiding, you might want to consider some of the older, legacy servers (not that there aren't guilds on Freeport who don't raid, there are plenty, and they're quite competitive with the other servers).

The older legacy servers tend to be very top heavy with veteran players sitting at 90 and running those zones. Freeport tends to have activity through all levels (and because it's a global server, meaning players from all over the planet, it's pretty much hopping 24/7).

I'm prejudice tho. I moved all my toons from a legacy server to Freeport a year or so back and have been refreshed with the influx of new faces.

In the end, it really depends on what you want. If you want hard core raiding, check the guild leaderboards and see what server the top tier guilds are on.

There's been a noticable increase in population on Butcherblock and there are frequently two instances of the various starting areas, so not all 'legacy' servers are empty at bottom levels.

I have seen alot of "newbie" questions pop up in channels.

I've rolled several alts on AB. I solo a lot and its refreshing to not have to compete for mobs. The lower zones are fairly empty and my frame rate is double what it is on Freeport. Yet the load always shows AB as heavy...so I guess most of the population is still higher than Tier 5.

I play on both AB and Freeport. If you are starting out and "want / like" to group? Freeport is the best. If you like to "solo" however....AB is awesome. And there is that added RP element too..that I'll get back to one of these days.

Raf
