Dear housing experts

I have searched the forums and I know there was another thread on this somewhere but I can't find it.

Did find an old one on frostfell vs. regular fireplaces but that is not the problem.

I have regular carpenter made (not frostfell) fireplaces and they are not lit when I zone in to my regular housing,

although I leave them on. One house has very little graphics (other stuff) in it, and the fireplace is still dead.

Is it just me? What am I missing?

Thank you so much!

Silk

all fireplaces do this. Same with the frostfell trees etc.. they do not stay lit and you will ahve to relight them when you zone in... we've complained about this for a long time.

This happens on mine as well. I have thought about purchasing a Halasian Andiron from the Housing merchant in Halas and placing it in the same spot as the coals are in the fireplace.

Unless you get lucky enough to get the older frostfell ones, they all do that. I submerge things (sometimes with different oclor flames for funsies) when I want it to stay on.

Same thing with the magical braziers from the Marketplace. No matter what setting you put them on, when you zone back in they default to the red flame.

REALLY ANNOYING. <~~~~annoyed.

And the Frostfell trees - turning on my decorations during Frostfell is useless because they don't stay on for visitors later.

I do that to sometimes. And if you want those peppermints to comeout I sank candles into my fireplace last year for my everseek frostfell entry. It came out really well.

Thanks,

The halasian andiron works great and can be superimposed directly over the "non functioning" andiron.

I wish the new frostfell andiron would stay on, but the idea of the peppermint candles sunk in it is an awesome one.

Silk

I have the same issue with the snow-maker. I want it on all the time, but it takes breaks (so I bought several haha!)

Yes, I do the same. I add something to my fireplace with the particle effect that I want. Also, I add decoration to the trees. I am currently ignoring anything that has to be activated when you enter the house as that becomes too much trouble to fool with.
