Since asking questions on the Freeport 1-9 channel and getting a straight answer with out sarcasm etc, I am asking you guys..

I have looked for the answer to this on my own, but I just don't know what I am looking for LOL....

My Fury is a new 90, has thurgadin gear. I am working on thurgadin faction. I have two adornments so far, one which, one yellow (marks of manor). My crit mit is 98.6%..So...........

What do I have to do to start the faction??? for Ry'gorr(sp) armor? What do I need to do to get it at all?

If I need shards from zones, this is a problem cause people don't want me cause my crit mit is too low...so how does someone in my position get this started?

Is this the gear that is from far seas 3rd edition volume 1? If so, i will get my butt into the zones and try and get the book.

If it is, and I get the book, and i need the shards, how do I get the shards if no one will let me group with them??

you can get it 2 different ways.

you can get a crafter to make it for you , once you have the gems.

or you can buy it with plat from the rygor faction merchant.

You no longer need shards for Ry'gorr. You only need the gems.

Best place for gems to drop is ISK.

Or you can buy them from the broker.

Once you have the gems ask in the crafter channel and people will make the Ry'gorr for you for a tip.

The community, as a whole, is great and usually quite helpful. 1-9 chat is the same on every server, so just brace yourself to /ignore a handful of channel trolls and you will be fine.

I am going to edit in a caveat here about the recent state of 1-9 chat on Freeport. With the recent merge, the trolls from both servers have been feeding off each other and making the channel unbearable at times. A lot of this I chalk up to post merge excitement combined with a lot of people having extra time off over the holidays. Then, toss in drinking and whatnot. It will calm down in a couple days after New Year's.

To the OP, asking relevant questions in the Crafting channel will tend to get you civil, informative responses. The Tradeskill forum here is similarly populated by helpful players who can at least point you in the right direction if they don't know the answer themselves.

The gems that drop need to be refinde by a crafter who has the thurgadin tradeskillers faction to get the recipe or you can buy the refined gems on the broker. The shards you get can be used to get crit mit yellow adorns to raise your crit mit on teh thurgadin armour. which may help you get into the groups you've been trying and kaiel groups. or as other mentioned after you get the kael gems you can find a crafter to do all of it for you including making the rygor armour.

Hope this helps.

Who knows? Perhaps that's the reason why they're acting this way .. before they had an entire server to themselves and could act howeverly rudely they wanted to ... so I guess they are just operating as they always have and not considering the increase in population they're subjecting their inanity ... or maybe that's the issue: they suddenly have a sizeable new audience now.

I really don't mind the memes, what I do mind is the misogynistic or "women are objects not people" kind of banter.

Either way, thank god for the ignore function.

Shots...

Get a scintinllating emerald and a scintillating black marble now from the broker and get someone to craft those items now for you. Then start running ISK as much as you can, the rest of the gems will drop there. You only need the faction if you want to buy the armour, but a crafter can make them now.

Also try and do the pools/ascent/spires trio when you can for jewellry and a chance at the chest.

You will need that faction in the end though, and it's not too hard to get if you do the quests all the way through to the end.
