So like a big dummy I placed my personal harvest depot into my crate to get that one extra item of space and then published my home. I am unable to retrieve it because it has items in it which means I can't put it into my personal bag inventory and my house is published which also means I can't place it in the zone.

I petitioned SOE and was told they couldn't do anything to help me This is especially prohibitive since I have 170+ tinkerfest cogs in it along with some rares sitting in it and would like to move the whole thing to another zone for carpentry work.

Sure, I could unpublish the home but it's taken me over 30 days to even get my home into the hall of fame on Nagafen!

It would be really nice if I could retrieve it or if they would let us unpublish the homes to make minor changes. It's crazy that we can't even place the trophy into the zone that you won it for without losing all the votes! Can't they make a script to at least allow for changing of a few items, maybe allow for 5-10 item count change?

On another note: It seems empty houses are getting posted for travel convenience. There should be an item limit to post a home on the leaderboard, I think 50-100 item count would be a good start.

At any rate, just wanted to share some rules on items that may need to be revisited by the dev team and warn others not to make the same mistake.

Cheers!

Yeah if they are going to hold the "publishers" accountable to not changing their house drastically after publishing them, then they should make all publishers unable to list home without a base amount of items. This would help get rid of the undecorated homes. Perhaps this should go into the feedback thread.

If you unpublish to remove the depot, you won't lost any of your awards, and you'll be back in the hall of fame in 24 hours. You'll clear your current votes, but that won't affect your hall of fame status either. Just bite the bullet .

I see more and more "portal houses" published on the leaderboards with no other purpose than travelling without cooldown. This is not the initial intend of leaderboards and I would definitely be in favor of a pretty high item limit count below which it cannot be published.

Which would change little as almost anyone can grab a pile of items collected over the lifetime of gaming and shove it in a house....
