Ok....so I love this part of the dungeon maker....but Its a little unclear to me what each one does...

Is there an offical explanation for each one? Some are self explanatory but others arent totaly (ie meb dies...is it spoken when one of the toons die or a monster dies?)

etc..

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

With the flavor text you can add things the mob will say at different points during combat... like the first one, (aggro) when the mob engages you he will say bla blah blah.. etc etc

Some will trigger if attacker is mage, scout, fighter or priest I think.

There is a flaw with flavor text though: it doesn't trigger every time. I don't like that because we could just put the flavor on some mobs instead of all (so as not to spam players) and it prevents us of having a specific mob saying interesting stuff.

I've been in one dungeon where flavor text was working. The very first dungeon I tried out. Since then, I've never seen text even though some of the dungeons were made by me and people I know and had text included.

This is a definite problem for me. I wanted to create a storyline for my dungeon based on Sumerian mythology, but the only flavor text I could get to work consistently was HalfHealth.

I could not find a guide on what the flavor text was, how each type worked, and if multiple entries for the same text (such as three Battle entries) would trigger all at once or separated by a certain amount of time.

Also, I want to create a dungeon that cusses at people during the encounters. Someone told me that it wouldn't work even though the normal chat filter is client-side. Considering that there is a scout ability called Cuss, give me the option to offend people's senses and not just the mobs! I guarantee some people will find it funny and actually rate that they like it, but chat filters should still be employed client-side if people want them turned on.

Aggro - What the mob(s) say, when they "see" you/group.

Battle - What the mob(s) say, when they commence a fight with you/group.

Death - What the mob(s) say, when they are defeated.

HalfHealth - What the mob(s) say, when they are lowered to half their health bar.

MAOfighter/mage/priest/scout - What the mob(s) say, when their attention turns to a specific player class ( crit, hate gain, etc ).

MemberDied - What the mob(s) say, when they defeat a member of your group.

Victory - What the mob(s) say, when they defeat you/group.

***

To my understanding of mob behaviour in-game, these are my closest answers, so take them with a grain-of-salt.

I haven't published my first dungeon yet, as its 75% complete ( 3,150 rating ).

My first dungeon I put quite a bit of text flavor in it. When I ran it with an avatar, none of the text was used. So I'm not sure if any text is working when others use it.

It's apparently only a "chance" they will use the text. Not sure how great a chance it is, but in my experience, having put around 18 versions of the same message in just 1 room, you might see it actually used 2 times.

From my experience, the death text never works, the battle text works about 5-10% of the time and the halfhealth works the best of all.

I thought the flavor text was an awesome idea and I did a story lined themed dungeon but the with the flavor text not always showing up it kind of ruined the whole thing. Wish they would fix that so ALL the flavor text shows up each time.

-------------------

Visit Palace of Pain and Pleasure II under Mistmoore on Unrest for a totally themed dungeon.

The "flavor text" is bugged, is a known bug, and a bug that SoE still needs to fix.
