View Full Version : Dameat's Fortress of Solitude

This is by far the largest house I have ever decorated. The owner (Dameat on Butcherblock server) had several specific requests before I started, including the fact that he wanted the mansion itself decorated. He thought the break out homes were great but he wanted to see the mansion undertaken. He also requested a library, a fish tank, a games room and a formal garden area. I hope you all like my answer to his requests.

I would also like to acknowledge all the wonderful folk on this forum and thank those I "borrowed" ideas from. Since the mansion is so large and in order to do it any credit there were so many images, I felt it would be best to simply put in a link to photobucket. You can either view the images or do a slide show. If you want to see the mansion in person it is published as the Fortress of Solitude. Enjoy.

http://s1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff420/joymac3/

I think you did a great job on this mansion, which I find is one of the more difficult places to decorate. Lots of details I liked, the floor tiling, the fridge in the kitchen, the leather sofa and chair....but the centrepiece on the dining table was my favourite

I am not a fan of clicking on links hehe old school fear of viruses, but I finally got a chance to go visit in person and I was duely impressed. Very nice ideas in decorating a difficult area to turn into a home. I loved the fireplace made with the sc furniture. That spot is one of my arggh what do I do here kind of spots and you provided a nice idea for me to steal, thanks!

Kudos,

Cloudrat
