Because unless I'm imagining things, you only earn days towards veteran status when you are subscribed (At least for now, anyways).

Changing from one payment plan to another can lose 'paid' time (My primary account with which I started on day one, is off by around 10 days because I changed payment plans a couple times in the past). Also there was bonus time added for certain expansions, if one of the accounts was flagged for one but the other wasn't.

I started mine on release and have some days to go yet before I can claim my 8yr rewards, mostly from switching payment plans as Rijacki said. I also had a couple of time interuptions where the end of my sub came at times when I would not be able to play for a few days anyway, so I waited to renew until I was back to a normal schedule again.

my wife is over a year ahead of me even though we started at the same time... on launch... The reason.. well for some reason i couldnt remember my login info for eq2 and had to repurchase when we came back after a break... so i lost over a year even though we were not actually gone that long.. she taunts me with her houses, and rewards knowing i wont get tehm for a nother year.. i still dont have the 7 year!

i did have a 2year break from subscription and i have been back for over 2years now. my break in subscription don't explain this as when i tok break it didn't stop ageing account, if it would be soo i wouldn't have recever 7year reward a year ago. i have switched payment tho so that can be an explenation. i used to pay monthly but changed to pay by year instead. i don't remeber that in the payment swap that i had a break of day in trasition, don't think i took an oppertunety to not pay for a week i woulnd't otherwise have played on, not 100%sure tho.

it feel kind of crap to loose valuable days just becasue i moved to an other payment plan. :Scan this be pettitioned, what do soe say about this?

After that point they changed it to the actually more sensible rewards for paid account time. They didn't take away rewards (to my knowledge) from people who had already earned them under the old calculation methods.

If you are very serious about it you can look on your account on the SOE website. They have records of payments made from that account going WAY back, for much longer than Eq2 has been out. You can figure out from there if you've missed days/weeks between subs.
