I don't mind the LG feature going down so much since I couldn't use it internationally anyway.Even though it feels a bit sad to remove a good feature from the game, as the free-to-play program would probably lure more people to those two servers. It works very well for Planet Calypso to mix free to play with sell items. Winning combination.Sony would have earned more money fron LG by keeping it while making the server F2P.However, I have a concern. What will happen to our houses (hall of fame entries), achievements, inventories etc. etc. when we get merged? Will we risk losing anything in our houses? Will our guilds be shattered? Will guild halls transfer? Will the Guide Quests become available on Freeport and the other normal server? Can someone at SoE clarify these questions? The Guide Quests were a big boon on those servers.

For me it doesn't really matter since I am from sweden so I couldn't use it anyway.I'd have preferred an announcement opening up LG internationally and more people showing up due to the removal of the monthly fee but... What do I know, I just know how to make money, lol.Feel sorry for those who regularly used the service though. The only bright side of this I can see is that we won't see Alfred 8 years killing his entire group with his recently bought 90 / 300 bought character because he doesn't know how to play his class. But still. EQ II is declining more and more in features every year so it's mixed feelings. Nice to be able to play with people during daytime though which has always been a problem to me due to the low population and all americans going online when I go to bed.

Guide quests are already on Freeport server, whether they remain is another question.

I, too, would like to know what happens to:

1. My tradeable and no-trade items.

2. no-trade items that are in my home that belong to alts I deleted after placing them.

3. items that belong to players other then myself, but are in my home.

My items (and the items placed in my home) are very dear to me, so I am ver curious about this.

This is a merger, not a transfer. The only thing that should get modified are toon and guild names, presumably under the same merger rules which have applied previously - older toon and older guild keep their name the younger ones change.

Heh, like a merge would make us calmer? Mashing things together totally random is like it's set up for chaos. Thankfully noone has my char name so I am not worried about that cause even if they create one now, mine will be older. I am more worried about the guild name though.

I actually have a toon on eq2X already copied over from Bazaar. Can I ahve my $35 back and what happens when there are two mes over there

And I recall some weird scripting being down for mergers with this last rmerger run. I don't know how it affected house items.

When the last merger happened, I don't think we had multi housing and Housing hall of fame either. Those things might complicate the process. Will all Hall of Fame entries be removed? Will our ratings be reset?Hmmm... I hold all my stats and items dear... :S

When Runnyeye merged into Spitpaw all the server and worldwide acheivements were lost for the folks on Runyeye, otherwise, it was a smooth transition.

Worldwide? I thought all achievements were server based?Or are you talking about EQPlayers now?Because I will go berserk if I lose my 10.000 undead kills and similiar.

Server discoveries are tracked separately. Acheivements are a different thing and I don't know how they are tracked. But I think they are player based and should not be changed with a merger.

The server merge FAQ from the last round will hopefully be in effect for Bazaar -> Freeport and Vox -> Nagafen.

I say hopefully, because the podcast with Smokejumper had some contradictory phrasing about who would keep their names, and who would get the 'x'.

I"m not overly upset about it. Hubby and I have made some plans to make the two copies fun (for us).

I mentioned it mostly cause people who bought race packs within a certain time frame are getting a refund, this seems rather similar. I also bought all acces SOLEY to have access to both live and Fp and that seems a bit wasted now...

Still, I have the worst timing...about 1 week after I betray nad lose a fully mastered warden, they remove the master losing penalty and about a week after I copy over, they make that un-necessary too...

You can make it allllll better by resetting the two me's to 40 K MajDUl faction again..giggle.

Ah, Lyssia, I thought if you first thing when I heard we were being merged. I worry it may be so that disco's get wiped, though hubby is likely ok as his quest count would be recalculated over to FP.

Oye, I hope World Discos are attached to the toon and are considered in the merger for your sake Lyssia.

I have one character's name that I'm quite attached to that I know exists on FP, she's not very old, so i imagine I'll need to come up with a new one. Rest are so weird, or not-important enugh that I'd be ok. My main is ok cause she's ON FP now, I just gotta decide how to handle the second copy
