A very cool effect.

What I did with mine was set all three to the same x, y, z then rotate them at equal angles (0, 120, 240) It made for a very cool nebulae effect and I ran off to grab my USS Enterprise to... I mean, model to pretended it was being chased by the Reliant... er... I mean... I then turn the tiles on their side and threw them into a doorway and broke my nose trying to run through them. Learning the hard way that they are indeed... hard. I put them flat again and dropped them under the surface of the Pool of Souls in our guild hall entrance (a small scale replica of the one in Darklight) and found out the watery platforms strip away the partical effects of the tiles. Boo! So I moved the misties just a minute amount above the watery platform. Luckily the misties didn't erase the water ripple of the platform, so now our guild's pool of souls is an ethereal portal to the Mutara Nebula where two space... er... it's a cool effect!

Unfortunately, I don't run FRAPS or any other video capture, so all I can do is provide a screenshot which hardly does it justice:

KHAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!

both effects are very slick

i'm sad that water cancels them out, they're great for adding the illusion of depth

I think these will be a lot of fun to play with .. I just wish I had more of them (only got about 20 of each).

Btw .. if you want to tile with them, you will need to use a base size of around 1.75 not the normal 2 when figuring out spacing. I didnt play with it too much so that might not be exact.

They're new tiles from the Moonlight Festivals each 20th and 21st of the month. So yeah, you missed this month's but they'll be back next month.

Misties in particular are from the Antonica Grotto.

I only offered up the pool as a constructive suggestion on ideas for the misty tiles and instead I seem to have hijacked the thread. I do apologize for that Jes. If it means anything, I actually like your wall idea better and may have to steal it if I can figure out where to implement it.

But thank you for the kind words folks. The pool itself is Cyliena's doing, I think. It was there when I joined the guild or at least when I came back to the game. I mearly dropped 3 misty tiles on top of it.

I was just messing around and figured I would post it... the final version will be much different. I started playing around some more tonight with spirialing and stuff. I was planning a maze with those and foud out when replacing my floor tiles (I had put some coin tiles instead to get an average idea of the number needed) that there was space between.

wow, it was tricky. Depending on the size of the tile and the effect you want, you'll go between 1.55 x scale and 1.75 x scale to tile those tiles.

I ended up myself with misty tiles scaled to 6 with a pace between too tiles at 9.5.
