<p><span style="font-size: large;">Okay, before anyone asks, </span><span style="font-size: large; color: #ff0000;"><strong>No, we do not currently know how these houses will be obtained on live. And they are not on live yet, they are only on Test and Test Copy, to be used to test the multiple house ownership features.</strong></span></p><p>If you cannot visit Test or Test Copy, but wish to see what these homes would look like for yourselves, you can visit the places they were based off of in-game. I've listed each location above the respective posts. The only one that may be difficult is the Personal Library, as I only know of it being a quest instance.</p><p>The images are thumbnails. Click on them for (much!) larger versions.</p><p>First up, the Personal Library! This was easily the largest of the prestige homes I visited. It is basically the same layout they used for the scholar version of the Earring of the Solstice quest, where you throw books at the djinn to stun them.</p><p>As the following screenshot shows, this home comes with a default of 400 item slots. More than enough slots for those books that take up item count!</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000022crop.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000022crop.jpg?t=1302844249" width="159" height="103" /></a></p><p>The view from the door:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000003.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000003.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>The view of the front door:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000009.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000009.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>Some views wandering around:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000004.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000004.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000005.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000005.jpg?t=1302844249" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000006.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000006.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000007.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000007.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000008.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000008.jpg?t=1302844249" /></a></p><p>Ceiling details:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000030.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000030.jpg?t=1302845518" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>Floor details:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000031.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000031.jpg?t=1302845518" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000032.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000032.jpg?t=1302845518" /></a></p><p>Wall details:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000033.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000033.jpg?t=1302845518" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000034.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000034.jpg?t=1302845518" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>And a few more screenshots for my darling Parma'Dals...</p><p>This is a Lore and Legend style book at default size in front of the bottom shelf of the large bookcases. That's the largest shelf on the case, so most books will have to shrink to fit.</p><p><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000041crop.jpg" /></p><p>This is one of the black/orange/red cover books at default scale:</p><p><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000042crop.jpg" /></p><p>And here's one of the fleshbound style:</p><p><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000043crop.jpg" /></p><p>And lastly, all of the books that I had in my inventory that either didn't lay flat, or weren't a stack! It looks like you should be able to fit about 40 books across on the largest shelf, probably more on the smaller shelves. And these were wide books, so if you were lining it with Lore and Legend books or some other thinner book, you could fit even <em>more</em>!</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000045.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000045.jpg" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>This was definitely one of the friendliest shelves I've worked with. It was relatively easy to place books along it, almost impossible to find an evil spot where the books turned red, or sank down into the shelving. As you go higher up, it gets harder, but a little bit of camera wiggling allowed me to place books on all but the highest shelves. You'll likely need to be an ogre, a troll, or have a handy object to stand on to get books onto the highest shelves.</p><p>The smaller bookcases were easy to place things on the bottom shelf, but I could not get them onto the upper two shelves of the cases without resorting to my Arasai illusion. A Mystic Moppet would probably work as well.</p>

<p>The opera house is quite small, but it has the same ambient music as the Neriak Opera House. I may have to make this my portal house when it comes out, just for the music!</p><p>The smaller size means that it comes with a default item limit of 300 items.</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000024crop.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000024crop.jpg?t=1302844249" width="159" height="103" /></a></p><p>View from the door:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000012.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000012.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>View of the door:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000025.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000025.jpg?t=1302845518" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>Heading towards the stage:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000013.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000013.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>The seating:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000014.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000014.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>The view onto the stage:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000015.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000015.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>View from the stage, facing one of the wings:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000029.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000029.jpg?t=1302845518" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>Wall and ceiling details:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000026.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000026.jpg?t=1302845518" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000027.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000027.jpg?t=1302845518" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000028.jpg?t=1302845518" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000028.jpg?t=1302845518" width="160" height="95" /></a></p>

<p>The dojo was easily the smallest of the prestige houses from what I saw. It is absolutely tiny. Beautiful, but tiny. I did not hear any music for it while I was wandering around taking screenshots.</p><p>This is the Qeynos dojo, set up for housing. It's tiny size has a correspondingly tiny item limit, at a mere 200 items.</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000023crop.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000023crop.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="103" /></a></p><p>View from the front door:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000017.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000017.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>View of the front door:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000020.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000020.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000040.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000040.jpg" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>Interior area views:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000018.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000018.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000019.jpg?t=1302844249" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000019.jpg?t=1302844249" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>Floor detail:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000035.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000035.jpg" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>Ceiling details:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000036.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000036.jpg" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000037.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000037.jpg" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p>Wall and screen details:</p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000038.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000038.jpg" width="160" height="95" /></a></p><p><a href="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/EQ2_000039.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y144/Crymsan/Prestige%20houses/th_EQ2_000039.jpg" width="160" height="95" /></a></p>

<p>The zone in for all prestige houses is in South Qeynos or Freeport (not sure which cardinal direction). The in game version of the dojo can be seen in eldar grove off of North Qeynos</p>

<p>I expect that these are probably some of the houses that were mentioned a while back that were actually made by someone a few years ago.  I really like the dojo, and I actually like that it has such a small item count.  To me, a dojo should be a place of tranquility, with a few items of particular meaning carefully placed, rather than filled to the brim.  I'm rather curious to see the maj'dul house.  It sounds like it may be similar in style to the Community Lounge, which I believe is based on the bottle instance.</p>

<p>EQ Live has a house obtained from LoN, (VERY difficult and VERY expensive), called Hermit's Hideaway.  Would love to see something like this located deep in someplace like Nektulous Forest.  Developer's add it to your 'things to do' list.</p><p>In the meantime, I am very pleased with everything they are doing.  The Prestige homes are small it's true, but let's be realistic here;  these are not meant to be your primary residence.  They are just a little something extra, and I am very thankful that we are getting them.</p><p>2cp</p>

To me, the ideal prestige house would be a large housing instance with a large item count, and with an essentially empty and undecorated house -- one where the walls and floors have many options and therefore very little item count is taken up by these matters and even stairs can be covered.  I'd even be sooo happy with a "prestige" version of my large Qeynos house, with vastly expanded customizing features, and maybe just a little more item count.By the way, I've heard quite a bit of enthusiasm for an empty plot of land from players who generally aren't interested in "decorating."  A number of players I've talked to about this idea don't want to build a house there like I do, but they do express interest in having a little instance with rolling hill and trees, where they can pitch a tent, stoke up a fire and camp out. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" /></p><p>Would you please explain what you mean about the issue of collision with regard to empty lots?</p>

<p>I think that no matter what they give us as a prestige house, someone, somewhere will be disappointed and someone, somewhere will be very happy with it.  We all have different tastes.</p><p>I like the prestige homes offerered.  Which ones I will or won't get depends a lot on how we get them.   However, I like them all.</p><p>As far as open space goes, I'm content so far with the breakout space.</p>
