Finally got it done! I've been working on my alt Beergutt's Everfrost Summer Home for weeks now and, thanks to today's festival, I finally got the white marble items I needed.

So here we go...

Beergutt is my, very large, Ogre on Oasis and I've ogre-sized everything in the house so don't be surprised when you see chairs the size of beds. lol I hope you like it.

Coming into the house you see the central courtyard with its beautiful trees and fountains. To the left is the trophy room straight ahead is Lagebelly's, beergutts brew pub, and to the right is the meeting hall and bedroom.

First, we'll tour the trophy room...

I have all my L&L trophies displayed as well my Heritage quest rewards.
I love the spaces you've created! The trophy room looks great! I like your creation for the book holders. The pub area is very warm and inviting, and I like how you left the corners in the back of the bar natural to look like chilled storage shelving. The division on the planning area and bedroom was also wonderfully done.

Stunning! I love the entry way especially, but the whole house is just amazing. It has a great feel, and the details are very well done.

I love everything about this home. The ramps in the first room impressed me in particular. It looks really well thought out. You've proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that the EF Summer Home is a great home to build in!

Beautifully done. Each room is very well thought out and complete.

I love all of it lol You did such a wonderful job. I love the little touch of rp. All of the rooms seem very warm and well planned out. I like that you used the orange colors and werent afraid to step out of the color box. Its hard working with a place that has so much stone and blues going on. You did a great job!

Excellent job in a tight situation. I would never have thought you could do so much with that house. So many great themed areas !

Kudos,

Cloudrat

Thank you everyone for such nice comments! It makes the long wait and hard work worth it.

This house... heh, when I first got this house I was so unhappy with it. I felt cheated by SOE because they did so little to get it to us. It seemed so limited in what you could do with it given the frosted textures and hole in the ceiling. But one of you, I don't remember who said something that hit home to me. They said something to the affect of just give it a try. So I decided to embrace it and see what I could do.

I saw the Goahmari Lamp Post and the whole courtyard just clicked. The Thurgadin Distilleries came out and I new I had to use them. Then I was stumped, I knew I wanted a trophy room but didn't know what to do. I don't remember if I saw them somewhere or if I thought of the idea on my own but the trophy pedestals was the turning point for that room. With them I knew I wanted it to look museum like and go multiple levels but stairs took SO much of item count I knew I couldn't use them. Especially given the wholly inadequate item count of this house. So the ramps where born. I was trying use as much of the house as I could but I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the last room. I knew I needed a bedroom but that was all I had. lol. I was looking at the trophy room trying to come up with something. I knew I wanted more than one level but didn't really want to go up, so... I went down. lol.

This house was pretty much built feature by feature. I guess that why the details are so complete. It has all the expanders, an item limit of 700 and is completely full. Its not done either. I still need to put in small details. For instance there is nothing on any of the fireplace mantles and that bugs me. lol. The cabinets in the bedroom have nothing on them. And I didn't use the upper part of the pub room. I wanted to put in a teleport pad that takes you up to a kitchen, but alas the crappy item limit stopped me.

Also when I did this house I picked Beergutt specifically because he was a large ogre (I have the ogre Commanding Presence that enlarges him on all the time, lol) and I could ogre-size everything. This place is SO big that that becomes one of the difficulties of decorating this place. You almost HAVE to divide up the space to make it work at normal size or the spaces are just to big. And doing that takes up more of that precious item limit. I don't know if any of you saw it but I made another post where I took the actual dimensions of this house and compared it to the 2 room apartment. It really shows just how big this place is. This place is bigger than almost ALL of the other houses space-wise even though its only 4 rooms.

Anyway, after all my work on this place I have to say this is by far my favorite house. Its like a big blank slate to work with. Even with the big hole in the ceiling (SOE please fix my ceiling, lol)

Lastly, I think this is one of those houses that is even better in person that it is in pictures. If you haven't actually gone by and taken a look, you should. If for nothing more than the frogs and fireflies.

I really like the combination of warm and cold you have going on in here, It all looks very comfortable and inviting, and the style flow is so smooth throughout!

What is the pitch angle you used for the ramps? I visited your place and really like what you did with the meeting room/bedroom and would like to do something similar with my own summer homes.

I really wish the item count limit wasn't so low on this place. There is so much more that could be done if it didn't have such a measly item limit.

The front ramp up into the room is 30 the ramp down into the bedroom is 45.

I love what you have done with the Summer Home! It gives it a comletely different feel! Bravo and well done! (May have to borrow a few ideas).
