Has anyone noticed that the new guild banners are set up so that the person thatplaces the banner in house or guild it shows that heraldy. This means that with 20 platyou could have curtains in a great selection of colors.

I have already tested this out. I designed a cloak, plain white with border and put itin one of my alts houses. I then left the guild on that alt but the banners remained the same. When I picked a banner up and then replaced it it changed back to the plainbanner. This would mean if you wanted to have different ones you would have to onceplaced not remove or put away in moving crate, but as long as you just moved them itwould keep the heraldy of the person that placed it.

Oh the possibilites......

Ok update ....apparently you can store these in a moving crate as long as you dont pick them upout of the crate but move them out of the crate.

When I tested this in beta, I put a banner with char X, left the guild with char X, logged in with char Y and found out that the banner placed by char X had turned white.

Well I put the banner up with Char A, in char Bs house who was in same guild. Left the guild on Char B and bannerremained the same. When I picked up the banner and put it back up it went white.

Though when I place banner in moving box and moved it out of box it remained with the guild heraldy of Char A. Even logging out and back in the banner remains the same as it did when Char. A placed it. Of course now I have toget my toon back in guild yet again...lol

oooh! That has possibilities! You'd have to make a carpy out of a guild though just so you could have a white curtain. I wouldnt be wiling to drop guild every time I need a curtain though

Of course, if the guild changes heraldry, your tapestries would too, right? I dunno, at what level can a guild choose heraldry? You'd have a keep an alt in every starter guild you create expressedly for the purpose of setting colors for the tapestries placed by that character. The part of me that solo-leveled a guild up to 60 just to get the Maj'Dulian Orrey guild hall amenity house item wants to do this. The part of me that's practical says no way, i'll do without!

Yes if the person that places the banners changes heraldy then the banner would change.

I've been playing with these for a few days! The moment a guild changes their heraldry, the tapestry changes. Just like the guild cloaks. These are tradeable. I say, if you know a guild who has a neat heraldry, ask them to place the tapestry. Since it's tradeable it shouldn't be too big a deal! And it never hurts to ask! That way you don't have to spread your alts all around.

You just have to be really really careful to never pickup the tapestry when decorating, heh, otherwise you'll overwrite the heraldry. I forsee a lot of "oops" moments in my future... *grin*

We're speaking of the great and best ever faction item crafted by carpenters with ally faction with the Forgemasters of Thurgadin ... aka : tapestries that display your guild heraldry

I see a possible application of this being those with private guilds developing and sharing with otherstheir designs. All thats really needed is for the house owner to have the banners made up and then letthe person with the design they want place the banners in the house.

Maybe a banner exchange of some type could be set up....just shooting out ideas here.
