View Full Version : The Casi: It Really Tells Time!

02-05-2011, 12:23 AM

Just like we have The Gracey, we now have The Casi.

This lovely clock was built by Jazabelle, but Casiphia was kind enough to suggest quite a few of the parts when I kept getting stuck.

So in honor of Casiphia, I give you.... The Casi! (No, it doesn't really tell time...)

There are a lot of moving parts. The gears spin, the pendulum swings, and one of the circles on the clock face spins as well. Much better seen in-person!

Located on the Antonia Bayle server, in the Halas guild hall of Homes and Tomes.

Edit: Eep, I was in such a hurry to get this up, I forgot to finish crediting people! While Casi helped me find the perfect items, it was Gracey's original grandfather clock that prompted the idea to have one. And Atmu pointed out a clock she'd built for her guildmate Damselfly as something I could look at for inspiration. Not to mention, without getting into a discussion with Tock about how to both pitch and roll an item, I wouldn't have decided to play with the adamantine round pool in the guild hall in the first place. Which led to deciding to finally buckle down and build the clock!

It is a great clock and as Jazabelle said, you really have to see it in person to appreciate all the details.

Wow, nice clock! I do want to come and see this, as I must see the movement, sounds really cool!

Adding this one to my list -- which is getting longer by the day as the growth of creativity among the decorating crowd approaches warp speed. I can't begin to imagine, once unlimited housing hits, how I will ever keep up. I need to find more game time!

Let's see...what OTHER real life activity could I eliminate? I've already given up most sleep, as well as eating meals at a table with other people and without a computer..(JK, but only barely..

That guild hall is Pirates, the guild hall in South Freeport. I've been meaning to make one since she showed me hers.
