View Full Version : A Conjuror's Desert, Revisited (Maj'Dul breakout)

<p>A few months ago I posted this Kelethin breakout - <a rel="nofollow" href="http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/posts/list.m?topic_id=483742" target="_blank">http://forums.station.sony.com/eq2/...topic_id=483742</a>Then Maj'Dul decks came along, and I saw all the space to build in, and there would be a real sky... and I knew what had to be done...The home is still a work in progress, but I'd love feedback on what I've got so far. It's open to visitors - it's the home at the Twilight Terrace in Maj'Dul, under Nevissa, Crushbone server. (If you do visit, things look best with personal torch off.)The view when you arrive in the desert. You can go to the left, to the right, or up the ramp guarded by an elemental.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/1.jpg" />To the left, ruins and a small camp...<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/2.jpg" width="1023" height="595" />A closer view of the goblin camp.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/3.jpg" />To the right, a cave...<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/5.jpg" />Looking in the cave.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/6.jpg" />Looking back out.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/7.jpg" />Going up the ramp seen in the first picture brings you to the main camp. Sit and rest in the shade of the trees...<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/8.jpg" />Or perhaps some fruit and wine, with music or stories? <img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/9.jpg" />The artist's tent.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/10.jpg" />The cook, hard at work making dinner.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/11.jpg" />The mystic's tent, a place to rest your mount, and the cave home with balcony.  <img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/12.jpg" />Another view...<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/13.jpg" />Inside the cave, a private place for guests to share dinner. The shrine to Solusek in the background.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/14.jpg" />Going up the ladder-stairs, a private study and the bedroom area. <img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/16.jpg" />Did I mention how happy I am with no more sky tiles...? You can watch the sunrise sitting at the top of the ramp.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/17.jpg" />In this version, there's also a garden to visit. Two comfortable places to sit, cool shaded spots to rest away from the heat of the desert sun. <img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/18.jpg" />The central part of the garden. The garden has two open areas (first being the picture above), and two more private areas.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/19.jpg" />The first area that offers a bit more privacy, a fountain with sweet smelling flowers.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/20.jpg" />The second private area, benches around a fruit tree. <img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/21.jpg" />The second open area.<img src="http://i1082.photobucket.com/albums/j369/nevissaeq2/Nevissa/22.jpg" /></p>

<p>Oh, very well done!  The cave and the little goblin camp are great!  Fantastic job!</p>

<p>Very nice. At first glance it doesn't look too different than the previous one, which was already pretty good. But the real skylight makes it a lot better, as well as the new additions like the balcony.</p><p>I also loved the garden. A very well done job! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

The balcony was actually in the first one as well, there just wasn't a good shot of it from the outside. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I was pretty happy with the first one, so I didn't want to change it too much. The main difference (aside from a new layout) is there was a<em> lot</em> more room to work with, so I was able to make everything a lot less cramped. <img src="/eq2/images/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" /> (That and the sky!)</p>
