View Full Version : My new "Gracey," in situ...

I love this new refrigerator, which I'm calling "The Gracey," after its original designer. I'm so glad it appeared when it did, since nothing else would work as well in the home I'm designing now. Thanks again, Gracey! It's a great fridge that keeps the food really fresh, and being able to get a glass of mulled claret by grasping the handle was a simply brilliant idea.

LOVE IT!! Those cabinets are the bomb!!! Are those the pedestals from Paineel? Hmmmm or maybe's the bookcase? Great sink too! Is that a clock I see above them? /grins

Really nicely done - cant wait to see the rest. Is this the one you hired the goblins to work on? Yeah... I know 1000 questions...

Thanks for the nice compliments! I think it's that fridge that really makes the room. Hehe...I made it first and then built the cabinets around it

This kitchen is, indeed, in the house that is being built by the Gigglegibbers. The cabinets are Gigglegibber concrete ( AKA. erudite bookcases) as is most of the house. It seems that, after we taught the Gigglegibbers to make those fake coins by sandwiching carbonite between thin layers of gold, they have used that general idea to make other products as well. In the case of the bookcases, by the time they get two of them sandwiched together to make a concrete block, you'd never realize just by looking that the block is not solid concrete. I do wonder where they are getting all of the books, though. So far there are nearly 500 erudite bookcases in Galldora's home, and I imagine there must be many thousands of books on all those shelves. (Yes, nearly 500. LOL! Still, I continue to hold out hope that, once the goblins have finished the structure, I'll have enough item count left for at least a few tables and chairs.)

As for the other materials, the cabinet doors are dark frozen tiles, and the handles are loviing cups. The clock is a djinn dining plate, an ornate dining plate and two of Dalron's little black books. (EDIT: Errr, no, not an ornate dining plate...just a dining plate.)

Oh, and speaking of Gigglegibber concrete...there was a minor incident at the construction site the other day. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries. I'll see if I can scare up a photo or two and let you know what happened...and what to watch out for if you visit Galldora's house...or hire Gigglegibbers to build your house.
