View Full Version : Photo from Loping Plains construction site

I've hired a construction crew to build my new home in The Loping Plains, and I went out there today to check on their progress.

The house seems to be coming along reasonably well with no major visible flaws so far, but it turns out that pale little dwarf foreman who keeps calling me "Madam" has a construction crew made up entirely of Santa Glugs and Gigglegibber Apprentices. Who would have guessed?

Anyway, I thought I'd share this photo from the site, showing the crew's somewhat unusual technique for positioning the heaviest of the concrete slabs on the upper floor and roof.

By the way, has anyone else who moved out there during the recent land rush noticed that the air has an unusual quality? Today, as you can see in the photo, the sky was filled with a luminious green and orange smog that cast an odd glow on everything. It's almost as if someone out there was conjuring 1979 Los Angeles. And yet, the other night when I was out there, the sky glowed with thousands of stars overhead.

I've also noticed there are many swarms of bats in the air, especially toward dawn.

Wow, there's no way those Goblins are following OSHA standards, and that building construction clearly isn't up to code.

Does The Loping Plains even have a building code? I couldn't find anyplace to submit the plans. The construction materials, I must admit, are a bit unusual -- they're building the place entirely of erudite bookcases. I suppose the books will give pretty good insulation.

You're a genius!!! Hiring the crew so you don't have to do the work! That truly made me laugh out loud - what a great sense of humor you have.

My first thought was how very good you where to hire those Gigglegibblers, now when Frostfell is over, so they have something to do.

Awsome idea. I love it and it made me smile.
