View Full Version : Building "outside the box"?

Hey, all.

Have been gone for about 4 years and recently came back. Love the new Halas houses and am in the process of setting up my 5 room, and was happy with what I had so far. That was until I came here and saw people are building sandboxes of awesomeness outside areas of the house.

It's so cool seeing what people have been able to do. How are you guys getting outside of your houses and building things down on the docks, etc? I know some have been using a teleporter, but where do you even get those? Are there other ways?

What's the easiest way to get out?

Teleporters are special items from live merchants--- such as the druid events. Its a bag of teleportation pads or something that you can buy for whatever special tokens the event has.

I see. Is there a list of which events have the tokens to get the teleporters?

I'm guessing we'll see them in the future again whenever another one-time event rolls around.

[Removed for Content], that stinks.

Any other way of getting out of the main house area . . . and back up of course to leave? lol

I don't know any others really. I bet if you advertised you were looking for a set in your servers auction channel that you were looking to buy some teleporters, someone would probably be able to get you some. And if you're on a merging server, any heirloom items such, as the teleporters, will be bound to your character after the merge too.

It may be worth checking the token exchange vendor at the druid rings in Stonebrunt Highlands. Its possible you might have some old tokens from previous events laying around that could be exchanged to pickup some teleporters (although with it being 4 years, perhaps not).

But yes, if someone else has teleporters that they are willing to part with, you can give them temporary trustee access to your house to place them, becoming effectively yours (they will move with your house whenever you move). You won't be able to pick them up, but you can put them in your moving crate if necessary.

it is likely they will be part of frostfell this year .. It seems they are now part of all the holiday/live events.

Unless the Dev misspoke.

If you don't have access to teleporters, you can get past the invisible walls without them in Qeynos and Gorowyn, in the big houses. Just go onto the roof of the Qeynos house, or over the top of the structure on the patio in Gorowyn, then just run down the mountain. You can run back up and jump right onto the deck if you want, because the invisible wall only works one way. The house in Halas is completely blocked, so teleport pads are required. I haven't been able to try any others yet. Keep in mind that you can run around on what you see, but it doesn't go all the way. Your environment in Qeynos is only a shell of a portion of South Qeynos, but it's large enough to do a lot with. The area in Gorowyn is larger, but there's still the item limit and not knowing exactly where you'll fall through the world. The water isn't water, so you will splat if you jump, but the docks are usable.
