Key Layouts always reseting?

<p>I don't know what is doing it (This only happens in Battlegrounds), but I fixed my keyboard layout yesterday because it got all buggered up, and I log in today and everything is reset to defaults again (NOTE: Again this ONLY happens when I enter Battlegrounds for the first time of the day, once I fix them AGAIN it seems to be fine).  And the Keyboad Layouts thing under the options menu where you can supposedly save/load your keyboard layouts? It doesn't work for me AT ALL!  Please look into fixing the keyboard Layout situation, i'm sure i'm not the only one, and I'm not gonna keep doing BGs if I gotta reset my [Removed for Content] keyboard hotkeys every day, or every time you update, or whatever is causing it, thanks!</p>

<p>solution.  Instead of using the Options menu:</p><p>On your PVE server, set up the keys and type /save_keymaps <keymapname></p><p>When you get into BG, type /load_keymaps <keymapname></p><p>it works and you only have to save them once... just remember the name. </p>

<p>This was the last time i did a battleground. I cant stand this hotkey resetting. Yes there is a command to load it, but i dont care. Its buggy and i wont put a foodstep in another BG unless this crap is fixed.</p>

<p>The hotkey situation did throw me when I first started doing BGs, but now life is much simpler, I just have a little hotbar under my mini map with "utility" macros. Two of them are below:</p><p><span >/save_keymaps 1</span></p><p><span >/load_keymaps 1</span></p><p>... I just hit the first one, click to queue up, when it's loaded I then click the third, if it's been reset.</p><p>But I've only had to do this once really unless the UI has been reset with the Options Menu bug... normally it's fine... I do that above 3 step process once and it's fine <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

Its buggy and i wont put a foodstep in another BG unless this crap is fixed.</p></blockquote><p>Pretty petulant attitude.  Did you quit using online email because you have to enter your password to access it too?  Did you quit using a phone because you have to dial a number to reach the person you want to talk to??</p><p>I absolutely agree that it's a bug and I absolutely agree that SOE should fix it.  I agree it's annoying and it drove me crazy until i found out about the /load_keymaps trick.  But EQ2 is a complex program with a lot of users and a lot of things to fix.  They can't address every issue instantly and given the simplificity of typing the above command or using a macro during the 45 seconds you have while the group is forming, it is a pretty minor bugfix on the grand scale of things. </p><p>Remember that it typically only resets after a patch or (occasionally), when you reboot your computer.. So it's not like you have to do it EVERY time.  Just do it when you log in and forget about it.  And remember you only have to /save_keymaps once.</p>
