There are some peeps ingame that think it is ok to get into the group then go hide or spam a spell, so it looks like they are there. I am not talking about the uneven groups that have no chance of getting any points.

The question is what do we do about them?

How do we report them?

Is our only recourse to hit the flame sites to broadcast their character's name worldwide?

Thx, Kahtin

I agree there has to be something done besides just vote kicking them. I saw one yesterday that had a bot running, the only thing is, the bot ran into the wall and stayed there running, stopping every so often to cast a ward spell.

While I was gone I set auto run back to the base, but my baby got on my computer and was running me all over the place before finally went directly into a wall. :p

I can understand it can be frustrating in some close matches but honestly on some games its so obvious that due to broken mechanics that you have lost then why bother. If you have player x who plays for example a warden in full toughness gear then you are going to win. Some people may say its giving up but that doesn't stop the fact that due to mechanics if you are matched against a certain healer type with a player who knows what they are doing then the game is over.

Until the whole toughness/healer thing is sorted, I have no problem with people going AFK, if it becomes obvious that you are up against a almost unkillable person.

You run out to the relic on the first dash and your entire team is slauightered in a matter of seconds. You look up and see they have 2 healers and you have none and your team is in mostly MC gear or treasured.

I have no problems telling the team we are getting our [Removed for Content] handed to us and I tell people then can feel free to go /afk to the match is over. However, I also let them know that sacrificing yourself will make the match go faster. That is usually why I don't afk.

Here is what I dont understand... if Wardens in PVP gear are SOOOOOOOO overpowered, then why dont you try playing one. I for one do have a warden. She is has been my main character since launch, there were literally about 5 FIVE years where we didnt have ANY real use. There was never any reason to take a warden over any other healer, in fact we would get BENCHED for pretty much ANY other healer class. So you know what, I think we deserve our 5 minutes of flame. We have had tremendious lows as a class and for once its finally nice to be good at SOMETHING!

Here is the bottom line, If you play a class you enjoy for the CLASS then you wont ever have problems, sure there will be times when things arnt the BEST for your class but you will still enjoy it. Its always the FOTM players that roll xxx FOTM class then when they get them high enough they arnt the kings they used to be that whine and complain. Sure Wardens have SICK HPS too bad that dosnt get us any work. Infact we have been nerfed quite a few times recently that has been a detrement to PvE. The issue isnt that wardens are so overpowered, Its actually other game mechanics at work. In my mind it would be the toughness stat. If you disagree, find you a warden in MC PvE or even lower end raid gear and see if they can perform the same "miricles" that those with high toughness can. Hell maybe toughness is fine, maybe they should just reduce the damage reduction in pvp some to compensate for the toughness stat. Last I recall damage was 50% in PvP? I dont know, I havent been reading on it in a while... Maybe 30% reducion would work better.

If anything its the PvP mechanics that need to be looked at not the class mechanics

Wardens are very powerful in PVP, BG's in particular because of the way the scenarios work. 1v1, I can take pretty much anyone, though there are the rare times I get roflpwned by a single scout. However, unless that person WANTS to stick around and fight, if they are any good or decently good, they can get away from me.

And when it comes to group healing, they and furies are equally awesome, and fairly easy, due to the relatively low cast times of group regens. Furies don't come stock with the anti-root however, and thats the only significant difference.

However, when it comes to how good a specific healer is in a group situation, a fully geared and AAed Shaman or Cleric that knows what they are doing is dang near as desirable as a Warden or Fury. The only significant difference there, is it's EASIER for the warden of Fury to get to a level where they help their group significantly. It takes very little playing ability to play them effectively, where it takes quite a bit more playing skill to be effective at either of the other two types. Once they are skilled and geared comparably they are all quite good.

The same can be said for Warlocks, or SK's for that matter. It takes some work getting good on the other DPS classes, or tanks, compared to either of those too.
