On vox server PvP I have never seen so many twinks in any game. I see more low levels then i see 90's. The gear and the amount of AA that can be obtained needs to be reduced.

First thing I thought wow level caps on who can kill me no high levels killing me over and over , but since we are dealing with sony who then allows level 20 to have 150 AA points and op gear. DA there is no diffrence in a 90 wacking you are a twink. There is really no incentive to level to 90. Sony and there bright ideas.

So I have to say level 1 to 50 were the most horrible time in game so far.

Both servers are filled with players who cant compete at 90 so they hide at lvl 14 or other obscure levels so they can kill players new to the game.

I blame level ranges for the locking bs, forcing everyone into 90 so they can begin to compete is a much better gaming experience imo.

Seems like this belongs in the PvP forums. But why not just lock and get some AAs so you can be competitive?

Some of us find XP locking, and being forced to traverse the same sad little map for months on end whilst twinking and trying to get a ton of AAs, as really boring. I feel like a hampster in a wheel. I'm moving but not getting anywhere.

And as far as what comes of finally becoming a twink after all that: If I wanted to stay in that tiny little map even longer and go after the same level peeps all day for months on end I'd play shooters.

I totally agree with the OP, and my main hope now is that Sony puts up an open PvP server for their free-to-play model that does not allow XP locking of any sort.

The few who like locking don't even begin to match the droves of players that have left open PvP in EQ2 (note all the closed PvP servers) or even worse, gotten so put off that they've left the game altogether.

Best way to combat this is probably to do away with the level restriction. It would kill low level PVP, but it would force everyone to knock off the locking and the grinding and into the level 90 game. This would have other adverse effects. A level 90 could sit out and cause trouble in Butcherblock. But then again it would attract attention of other 90s to come out and stop them.

Its got its good and bad points for sure. I'd prefer if they balanced the game out a bit so that you wouldn't get destroyed so badly by someone in better gear. When Skill = Skill then the one with better gear should come out on top. But skill won't always overcome gear here like it would in WoW.

stop crying about level locking.,...This is what got it removed in the first place. They removed it because ppl cried because they couldn't level, get over it, It's back and I hope it's not going any where any time soon. It's a PVP server ppl do what they want with the mechanics, if you want an easier time leveling move to a different spot or play on a PVE server.

Kepp level locking, just get rid of pvp ranges.

You want to twink lvl 14's to kill level newbie 10's? Do it up, just watch out for his lvl 90 friend that will one shot you.

I'd say gear a low lvl for pvp, but low lvl pvp has changed for the worst imo. I have a 35 and 40 both geared. Constantly chasing, noone appears to actually fight. So lame to just chase as the opposite faction zones, evacs, takes horse. Too many seem to practice running and getting ooc. What's the point of gearing out with max spells and aa to run all day? Laugh at the weakling runners that suddenly grow nuts when they have numbers 10 to 3. I may take this all back if the majority of the server happens to be children.

Until level 30, the max you can spend is 1.5x your level, so 30aa max spent at level 20.

Exaggerating your case, or true ignorance of it, only hurts it.

want to [Removed for Content] off the twinks.

make nagafen an eq2x server make the best gear the new purchasable gear. Add a few AA point potions to eq2x and watch the twinks cry someone can buy a twinked out toon and roll them.
