It doesn't require fancy game mechanic changes. Just redo the architecture.

Just make the wall around the bases so high you can't slow fall onto it. I'm tired of full length Ganak matches where some wise guy sits in a nook on the wall untouchable because no one else has slow fall. It's not a tactic, it's an exploit. They're called BATTLEgrounds for goodness sake. You shouldn't be forced to play a fairy, or use an equipment slot just to be able to have a shot at the flag holder.

Actually I don't mind it so much when they get on the walls, but I saw somebody get between the legs of the Iksar statues. Even with my gnome boots jumping from all nearby ledges, could I figure out how to get up there to kill him. Spent the last four minutes of the match trying.

War is never fair, but the ability to fay-glide up on top of your base and hide in awkward positions is detrimental to the flow of gameplay.Saying it is a "tactic" means squat. A tactic is just a plan or procedure. So by definition, that means using every cheat program, hack and bug in EQ2 is merely using tactics. The flow of gameplay in Ganak would be bolstered significantly, if the upper architecture (the very top parts) of Ganak bases was not accessible to players.

Aside from what has been mentioned, they can still be attacked without following them up there.

Another fix is remove combat speed. One of the worst aspects to EQ2 that should never be in place in PVE and especially PVP. Cast while moving too would be nice, they can do it for Roehn Theer, I don't see why they can't add that to BG's.

Doesn't matter though, BG's are dead.

You can still hit them up there, in SOME spots. There are areas where you're mostly untouchable, and if someone catches you from an odd angle, you just have to take two steps.

And I'm aware of how to do it, and can do it. I don't. It bothers me just as much when MY team does it as the other team. It's an exploit. Atleast you can try and cut off the people running at the speed of light and hit them with a snare. In either case, when ONE person can put 24+ other peoples game on permanent hold, that aspect is broken.

Ranger's Hook Arrow will do it. Pulls 'em right down into the pool of sharks waiting below.

Doing that seems to irritate them. /shrugs, maybe it's just me.
