I know this is almost pointless to say, and has been discussed to death for years, but it bugged the hell out of me yesterday.

I decided to spend a good deal of time leveling my alt defiler from 80 to 90 and I was out questing in SF all day yesterday. She was 83 for much of the day and every single time I had a PVP fight with a Q they ran away. This included six people who were level 90. I mean seriously, what is wrong with people that they see a green player and refuse to engage with them? Or they even jump me, and i get my wards off and start to VERY SLOWLY (she is a defiler after all) dot them down a little bit and they decide to just up and run away?

I mean seriously, in six hours I was never able to kill anyone because all the people who would even bother to stand and fight for a little while would eventually just run off.

And forget about the two level 90s that decided to jump off the side of the cliff instead of engaging a greenie.

If you have ever seen a solo green player and decided to suicide instead of fighting him you should be ashamed of yourself.

Make incombat and ooc run speed the same. May capitalize on a few more pvp kills from the running weaklings

Gotta love all the people who are saying, "oh you want to fight? I'll fight you." It's like a bunch of school yard kids yelling 'fight, fight, fight'. It's so not the point.

The point is that I am bewildered that there are actually people who astonishingly won't fight someone seven levels below them, or then just run away when it gets hard. (that's what she said).

Both sides have people that don't fight and/or run whenever they start losing.

Annoying ? Yes

Can you make them PvP ? No

I have noticed a lack of PvP overall at times it even feels like its back to Venekor people just don't seem to want to fight maybe due to the insane survivability now that fights last for hours and not as fun but that is just my opinion.

Given the difference between level 89 and 90 is like 89 going to level 110 when it comes to fighting people in 90 PvP gear it is probably a good thing they ignored you unless they are just plain terrible but that solves the running away question.

I have to agree with you. on my level 35 sk(i expect someone to say of corse they run, your an sk! tbh with you i don't care) i can never seem to find people that don't run. i had a 44 ranger attack me and start to lose and then run away. he is 9 levels above me.

A suggestion i heard was if you are attacked in pvp, and then you run away, you lose infamy for it and cannot get kills, infamy, status anything for 5 minutes. deaths don't mean anything anymore so what is the point of being so scared of getting them?

If there is a worse punishment for running than dying, people will be a lot more inclined to die than to run.

just my thoughts, kind of annoying when i am trying to get status or tokens or infamy or anything like that and every Q i see runs from me. I've even had groups of 2 or 3 run from me. It doesn't make sence that people should be allowed to run from pvp so well, and not have any punishment.

As a side thought, there should be an achievement for running from a fight like 25 times, called coward or something, but idk if that is a good idea.

Also, another problem pretty simular to this is you can attack someone they fight you then run away and are out of combat in under 5 seconds, even with me constantly attacking them and then they either go use a transport and run away, or i can kill them and then often it doesnt give me credit because they were under 50% hp (happens a lot with kiters and snare and then go invis and wait till they are out of combat and then attack and if i kill them i get no credit.

Just my thoughts here on how to fix the problem of people running from pvp.

for most ppl it takes an hour to kill any healer that doesn't suck, if you can kill them. on my temp, i don't finish many of the fights i get into solo. one of us gets bored and walks away. on my zerk, i won't attack a non green healer. just takes too long. i can mow down green healers in most cases tho.

You may get some pvp during wf but after killing them cause they had to run to the tower to get the buff they sit in immunity till warfields is over . You get1 shot at those and if you are not in on the original kill its a wrap .

I believe it just shows the caliber pf people playing this game . To jump off cliffs rather than fight a 1v1 all the time run as soon as you see someone that cons to you . Then the same people sit in chat and talk loke they a major hitters . Real tough guys irl let them tell it . Its hilarious . So naggy is really pve atm unless you catch someone running to a zone in and you have the aabilty to root snare them long enough to kill them these days .

Dont get me wrong I understand some classes play diff sins/rangers . Ok if you run because you feel you need the jump .... then jump , run and come back and attack me while i ampulling then ... but just to run off and never look/come back ? There are a select few I see out there pvping and props to em gotta say there is a necro put there that wont run if you catch up tooem out of freeport without giving him too much props but snap he will fight and soooo many SK's will run and never look back , guess they all had all their plat on em Sad state of pvp atm .
