I've earned about 30 tokens by being in a PvP zone. I killed one person, and contributed nothing otherwise. I wasn't even trying to PvP. I was trying to get AA by doing lowbie quests on an alt.

So, you can earn tokens Player Versus Player reward tokens by making dinner (Sitting AFK), or you can more or less ignore PvP and do something entirely unrelated.

I suspect that if I payed attention, I could post on the forums for a few hours a day or surf the web in windowed mode and make a few dozen tokens EVERY day, by showing up.

It's understandable that if people are paying a monthly subscription that the company gaining from those dollars would make time investment a major factor in 'progress'. But, is this working as intended?

So, I get 5 tokens and some status so that someone else can get credit for killing me once?

So, what is the incentive to actually try to take down the towers then? Is there one?

I've shown up to a few warfields, because I happened to be in the zone when it all went down, and for the most part I've rarely been able to find anyone in my level range to kill. Mostly everyone was hanging around, not fighting. The docks were crammed with people from both sides, hanging around. Sometimes, if I saw someone in a fight who needed help, I would try and help even though everyone was a sea of red-con names. Occasionally I would rez a person. And after awhile I got tokens.

So...I could have just stood around on the dock among the other crowd of people and done nothing? Made dinner, folded laundry, did some channel flicking...and still got those same tokens?

That blows chunks.

No insult intended!] ... that's more than just hanging around waiting for a token, eh?

So...I could have just stood around on the dock among the other crowd of people and done nothing? Made dinner, folded laundry, did some channel flicking...and still got those same tokens?

You could have, and like I said earlier about 40% of the toons do just that; run up, ding, run back, wait to end, ding. That's OK for me -- it doesn't affect the quality of my life or the quality of my gameplay if someone has 1,000,000 tokens so if they like to harvest tokens like some harvest tussak roots then I'm good with that ...

That blows chunks.

Sorry to hear that, may I suggest that you delete one of your T5, T6, T7 toons and re-roll a T3 to make things a little more satisfying? Now that locking is back, you know those T3's ain't *never* gonna level to where you're at, yes?

Multiple solutions to this were mentioned in the following thread:

Fundamental Reformation in Stagnation? On top of that it might even be fun...
