Another Launch Pad Error (Vista)

<p>Okay guys. I'm having some trouble. I just downloaded the free trial after a friend invited me to play the game. After clicking the "play" button, I got an error message (see below). I'm running in Vista (laptop) and tried the UAC fix. It didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!</p><p><img src="http://i49.tinypic.com/vdg1tx.jpg" width="363" height="182" /></p>

<p>Make sure you set the launcher to Adinistrative and compatability to windows xp service pack 2</p><p>Also, go into your EQ2 folder and set all .exe applications the same as above</p><p>Make sure you are not running firefox.  EQ2 likes IE</p><p>Make sure your firewall/virus program is not blocking it.</p><p>Hope these help</p>

That didn't work, unfortunately. I'm not really familiar with Vista. How do I get to my firewall and figure out if that's the problem?

<p>Unfortunately, I cant help with that... depends on what you use.  I use McAfee and open up the program and set permissions there.</p>

There's a launchpad forum? Whoops! Guess I should've posted there! My bad, but I'm still getting the hang of things here. Since I was having problems -before- I fiddled with the compatibility mode, I don't think that's the cause, haha. EverQuest II looks so fun, and I can't wait to play! I'd rather have XP than Vista, though...
