This would so rock so that we can get updates from guild via email, know what chars have outstanding emails etc.

As long as it is optional, I really like this idea.

Not gonna happen. Pretty obvious when you think about it.

Having those mails forwarded out of game does you absolutely no good unless you can "do" something about it, or at least respond. There is no way SOE is going to open the in game mail system to external use.

It'd be quite useful, especially for Alts. It'd let me know:

When an alt has received mail, specifically emails pertaining to Master training. That way I can maximize the the amount of time spent training for masters.

If my guild has decided to plan a raid for the next few days, it gives me notice to log in/sign up on the guild website when I otherwise wouldn't even have logged in due to school/work.

Those are just two really useful reasons to have it that have affected me in the past. I'm sure other people have their reasons too. Spam would be annoying, but that is what filters are for and nearly every email client has some sort of filtering now a days.

EQ1 has the option of forwarding any messages you receive in game to the email account registered on your station account.

I have a lot of alts and I'm rarely on some of them, meaning mail can sit for a while on one of them.

I'll put in a vote in favor of this. Being 90 sage I get a lot of requests concerning making spells for guildies, raid changes, etc. Would be nice to see those things at times without having to log into the game.

And as said, the in game spam filter seems to catch most of the spammers. So just don't forward the stuff that goes into spam.

Nothing in a game is so important that we need to have it in our RL e-mail.

I can't think of any reason why I would want to know about something in game when I am not in game, if I am online and something cool is happening great, if I am out of game in RL I don't care what happens in game personally.

Please do not add this feature.
