View Full Version : Redundant Amenities for Guild halls?

<p>So with the changes to travel, it seems like there's a good bit of overlap between the bell and the druid.  But the carpet and the druid are identical.  Wouldn't it be appropriate for SOE to refund the cost of one of the two identical amenities?</p><p>Am I correct in my assertion that the carpet = druid?</p><p>And the new ones, Navigator's Globe of Norrath, Pirate Captain's Helmsman are both identical to the bell?</p><p>I want to make sure my guild hall has all the right amenities for travel, but at 10pp and 1 million status, I can't afford to experiment with all the different ones.</p><p>Anyone point me to a write up if there is one please?</p>

<p>I thought the carpet was or was supposed to be = to the bell. The Druid rings are different.</p>

<p>As far as I have seen/tested, the carpet is the same as the bells (I use the carpet personally just because I think it's purdy <img src="/smilies/69934afc394145350659cd7add244ca9.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />)</p><p>But yeah, myself and my guild leaders are faced with the same deal, right now we have a bell, the old salty sailor and the carpet, which seem to all be doing the same thing.  So I'm guessing it will come down to preference on what one we like best, and then a yay moment to free up ammenity slots so we can add more to the hall.</p><p>Hope that helps some.</p>

<p>We are keeping one bell as it is now an Antique and is a museum piece to remember how we use to get around Norrath! Same with the SS carpet and other unique forms of transport that may be wiped out between the Captain of the Ship, the Wizard and the Druid.</p>

<p>We went with the Captain, it's funny to watch him steer.  But yes all of the bells and the carpet are the same.</p>

<p>There are now only 4 travel networks and only 3 can be used from your guildhall. Bells, rings, spires and griffons. The intercontinental griffons are of course not available from the guild hall but it is a pretty limited network anyway. You only really need to get a druid for the rings, a wizard or the spires to use the spires and one of the "bells" which includes the bell, the navigator's globe, the explorer's globe, the helmsman and the carpet.  The carpet is the one that changed and now functions just opens the map to the bell network. The real carpets are now just local travel within Ro.</p>
